I will never give up on Eurovision, because I feel alive when it's my turn to go in too deep. It's the story of my life: no matter where I am, I'm on my way, running on air (to #Verona2018?).
My friend, it's time to breathlessly grab the moment and do it for your lover, your mother, the whole world, or die trying. It won't come easy - no one said it will be a perfect life - but you must keep the faith and go on.
Fly with me, and I'll follow you, so we can become like Greek gods floating in space; black paper birds defying the laws of gravity. For this is love for the both of us, dancing alone like naked apes in the flashlights and shadows of the city.
But in the end, when the rain of the night has extinguished the origin of our burning flame, let us all yodel a requiem for the line of skeletons left over from this beautiful mess.

if Salvador wins, I'll be extremely happy. but if he doesn't, I'll be glad he won't get all the hate the winner usually gets (e.g. from Bulgaria fans). It's a blessing that we all know Salvador now, and he is the winner regardless of the outcome.

Bulgaria for the win! The best staging, such a strong voice, not unnecessary effects, super cute talanted boy with a great message. The song is NOT a romantic song, it's about GLOBAL LOVE. Through thick and thin, inspite of the problems and negativity going on, we will still carry on and give love. Global love, people. Vote for Chris cause he is really deserving and awesome!

I like both actually. Lucie is pristine and perfect but she's at an arms length from me emotionally. I get that she is in theatre but I want her to sing through her gut rather than through her head. While Anja was singing through her gut and for her life. I felt her when she got down on her knees and just poured out her soul. She probably knew that bookies and the press don't like her song that much but she came out proving that she is more than what they think.

    PORTUGAL 12 POINTS WHY?
*That's what music is supposed to do with you. Make you emotional, make you rethink so much things…* *Music... for me, there are multiple factors, a sample of which are, and i love this project what i feel? :
*Content*: Lyrics, composition, arrangement, instrumentation etc. How well is the piece constructed? Are we beside a Masterpiece? * *YES*
*Delivery*: Are the vocal and instrumentals well executed? Engagement: Do the artists appear involved in what they’re performing? Is their a perceptible level of emotion involved in the piece? *YES*
*Innovation*: Is the piece ground-breaking? Does it offer something new to the listener? And if so, is it a positive evolution, or innovation simply for the sake of being different? *YES*
*Intent/message*: Is the piece thought-provoking? Does it encourage the listener to contemplate its message, or is it simply background music? *YES*
*Involvement*: Does the piece have the ability to transcend the delivery method to capture the listener regardless? *Does it make you forget that you’re even listening to it on a “system?”* *YES*
*Continuity*: Do all of the above factors seamlessly come together to create a compelling piece? Originality and authenticity are the project intense with simplicity and the true meaning to create music and with natural interpretation in stage without sound effects ? *YES* !
*Are the project in harmony with all this thing’s in stage? are the elements lyrical content. Arrangement. Composition. Instrumentation. Delivery of vocal and instrumentals. Engagement. Innovation. Emotion. Progression of artist. Intent of the piece., duration, dynamics, harmony, melody, structure, texture, timbre * *YES*
*Does the piece appeal on a variety of levels intellectual, emotional and spiritual and is there a feeling of musicality about it ? That is , does the piece invoke a desire for body movement that corresponds to the gestures in sound ?* Jazz_Poetry... *YES*
Is there satisfying formal organization to the way the gestures are presented and developed? Since music occurs over time and for practical reasons, if for no other, music has to have a beginning and end, it seems to be our nature to expect some kind of sequence and development of the ideas that we find satisfying as anticipation and memory blend to create a mental image of form... *YES*
*Timeless like a movie we are inside the poem and we travel since 1910's - 2017*
EUROPE ARE YOU READY TO RE_LEARN THE TRUE MEANING TO LOVE FOR BOTH AND EVERYONE ?
*Music CZcams - Johann Johannsson - A Song For Europa* like Salvador Say - *Europe it’s Time to STOP and FEEL* Yes it’s possible to love both and everone… *Artistic, Performative, Unique and Autenticity* first time i see this in Eurovision History...YES! AND I BELIEVE IN THIS …Salvador Sobral and Portugal Thank’s for All This
See this video youtube - *Amar pelos Dois How To Stage Intimicy*
After 48 Years Dictature? 13 Year War? After 48 Year Participation ESC ..
Kiev Diversity? Ukraine? Yes PORTUGAL DESERVE AND WITH SO MUCH LOVE WITH ALL COUNTRIES.. ALL!!!

    My thoughts about The Netherlands:
Running order is not such a big problem. After Austrias performance, Armenia will bring great vocals, and the Netherlands will elevate that with theirs. You could think, Hey, it's too early, thy'll be forgotten, but let's remember that just after their spot there is a pause. It's a very good place for them: after hearing those vocals, the public will be captivated, and they will have the exact ammount of time to comment it and decide to vote it.
Small pauses like these help a lot. In the second one just after Portugal, the public will rememeber Salvador's, and probably The Netherlands, because they closed the "first period".
They will probably do Top 10 even Top5, the worst 11.

Very strange things happened recently and now I am confused mainly because promoting a jazzy number without this being a jazz contest is unexplicable. All countries could have send excellent jazz singers, male or female, but this is a pop song contest. BTW, I am not Gabbani's supporter but at least he followed all rules.

Fábio Carmo, I wrote "pop song" contest. All iconic winners are and will be pure pop, like ABBA, Johnny Logan, Brotherhood of men, Bucks Fizz etc. If you want to hear "masterpieces' as you like to call the portuguese number, these are usually found in jazz festivals, operas etc. Bulgaria can easily send a tenor or soprano or a jazz performer, but this is unfair.

As a portuguese person, i'm really proud of our entry! If you told me last year that in 2017 we would be the top favourites to win, i would slap your face and tell you to joke with another person... It's simply amazing to see an entry from our coutry be the best one of the year! Since i watch Eurovision i'm dreaming with the day our country wins the contest! We participate since 1964, and our best place is a 6th in 1996... So, we deserve to be at least top 5, but for me, after seeing the predictions, anything different than the 1st place seems disapointing...but it shouldn't be...
However, if I had to bet my money, I would bet on Bulgaria ... Although Portugal has an infinitely superior theme, the question of the desistance of Russia could give victory to the Bulgarians, because they will get lots of votes from the ex-Sovietics. They will be in the top 3 of the televote and the jury and I think they will win! I really hope i'm wrong!!! Go Salvador!

That's strange. I have seen a big crowd reaction when Italy performed. The whole arena dancing with Francesco and then the final standing ovation. I also watched the live streaming from the Eurovision press office and the two journalists said that Francesco's performance has been great and powerful and that the performance and the big crowd partecipation can win the jury. Bulgary and Portugal are serious contenders but ignoring Italy is just a bit ridicolous my friends.

    My Predictions:
    1. Portugal - The hype seems to be building for this since the semi's. Even if it's not liked, it seems to be respected.
    2. Italy - The hype is dying for this song and the staging just feels off somehow.
    3. Bulgaria - I think it'll be very close behind Italy like, 2 or 3 points close.
    4. UK - Everything is going for her. Placing, performance, staging and that potential bloodbath in the last four acts.
    5. Sweden - It's just become a standard for Sweden to do well. I don't think it'll change now.
    6. Belgium - She'll suffer with her live performance. The studio version will get her here I think.
    7. Romania - It's the stand out fun song but won't do as well with the jury's. The televote will get it here.
    8. France - Following Bulgaria, she just won't stand out. It's a shame, this is my favourite song this year.
    9. Moldova - They're always near perfect when performing. It's a polished performance and also has the meme going for it.
    10. Hungary - It's too much of a required taste to do any better.
    11. Azerbaijan - Croatia will cancel out its quirkiness and following Portugal isn't going to be easy for anyone.
    12. Australia - Similar to Sweden, I think it'll just get points because it's Australia.
    13. Greece - Studio version will get it here. Live is too flawed.
    14. Armenia - Victim of the running order. It will stand out but is too early to stay memorable.
    15. Norway - There's a break after this and the hook really stays with you so it'll probably get some of the lower points.
    16. Belarus - Their live performance isn't as polished as other acts and the early running order will hurt them.
    17. Israel - Victim of the running order. Studio version will get it here.
    18. Netherlands - Forgettable for televoters but will be appreciated by Jury's.
    19. Ukraine - They'll get host gratuity points I think.
    20. Croatia - I think this qualified because it was fun but it's the least fun of the fun songs.
    21. Cyprus - A forgettable song sandwiched between two strong performances.
    22. Germany - She's too good for last place. She's a flawless performer with an unfortunately bad song.
    23. Poland - I think it will be forgotten by voters.
    24. Denmark - Likely to be forgotten by voters.
    25. Austria - Again, likely to be forgotten by voters.
    26. Spain - It's not really likable and quite forgettable.

You guys at wiwibloggs have done an amazing job keeping us up to date with this years contest, many thanks for that :-)
The one result from the Jury Final that sticks out like a sore thumb is Australia. What did the juries see in this song that the public didn't? Are the juries trying to suck up to Australia because they're still the new kids on the block? What upsets me most is the Jury vote helped Australia into the final at the cost of Georgia and I think Tamara really deserved to make the final. What do other people think about Australia this year and how the juries voted?

    • @ngaho3288
      @ngaho3288 Před 7 lety +5

Soup Dragon - He did well in the jury shows. That bum note in the semi finals was one reason why he received such shockingly low televotes. He lost every faith of receiving any public vote after that. He's actually charting at around 10th place on itunes (17 countries) & 6th place on spotify (6 countries) at the moment. I always check these stats to see how contestants are going after the shows. People were reluctant to vote for him after that incident. Probaby after eurovision people realised that it didn't deserve 2 televotes? It is also important what happens after eurovision. Tamara was also one of my favourites. 😊
