False guilt can also cause false memories.
It’s all an illusion, it’s important to know this
Otherwise it can be very dangerous. False memory has lead me to be s*icidal as I didn’t understand it and wasn’t much info on it
But it’s OCD, it’s not real event
That's really true. Thanks for sharing it. I'm in this process of healing myself from false memory OCD. The worst part of having it is that you think the memory you're struggling with it's true, but in fact it's not
the problem is, if the fear is high you dont have the certaintie that its an illusion. otherwise it wouldn be a problem . the way is to accept it even it would be true and conquer the feeling behind the worst case to tame the self concept of ego which is the source of fear. l
Thank you for your informative videos. I suffer with many false memories which are maintained by guilt and fear which then creates a desperate need for absolute certainty - the driving force for all OCD. Is it realy possible to learn to accept and maybe even embrace uncertainty, and if so how? Thanks again, best wishes.
You don’t need to feel guilty if you have false memory OCD
ITS OCD
Do you need to feel guilty if you have POCD… no
There’s no memory to it
It’s OCD about the past
The way people cover false memory ocd is quite frustrating
Thank you for this content
Any time!
What to do when someone misremembers and makes false memory of conversation and start blaming others? And they are so confident of their false memory?
You haven’t mentioned CSA where the brain may suppress memories. Can you have a video about it? How can I know if it’s a false memory or if my brain has suppressed that memory and put me in dissociation?
Can OCD make you think 1. you JUST tried to do something bad (like hit someone), or 2. that you ARE going to _in the moment._ False memory about the past is absolutely a thing in OCD, but what about _in the moment_ ? Like, "Did I JUST try to...?" Or _in the moment,_ "I'm gonna do this," YET you weren't ACTUALLY gonna do it, it was just a false "intention" triggered randomly. You felt it, you thought you were about to do it, you "consciously" planned to _in the moment_ until you snapped out of it, realized right from wrong, or you didn't do it. Is either a thing in OCD? Let's use _in the moment_ in a different context to clarify. Someone comes at you with an open hand out, so consciously/subconsciously, you dodge.
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
I feel like I forget everything I used to remember

i have a memory that isnt traumatic at all but just way weird and caused zero effect on my life. details, visually and audibly. its just weird but so not relevent to anything. nobody remembers this and im wondering if a false memory can be something that just left you saying "huh? lol" even when it happened/didnt happen, i always remembered it since. is that weird or uncommon?
Hi Matt I can't stop trying to remember the part of my childhood I can't remember my dad was OCD like me my mum a narcssist
