@@samwilliams837 does real event ocd and false memory ocd go hand in hand, for example do they overlap? I had a thought and it gave me the inage of the event but the thought of the suppose memory is what I'm not sure is real.

I have OCD and I have problems with past events. I obsess about embarrassing past events though not usually events that make me feel guilty. these thoughts torment me and I can't stop obsessing about them. does anyone else have this? humiliation is a big obsession of mine and I have big issues with it. and I also have a thing with regretting how I handled it and get mad at myself for not doing what I wish I did. anyone else know what I mean and do you know what I am talking about?

I’ve spent ALL day worrying if I left my bedroom door open (I live in a multiple residency hostel) and was talking to my neighbours downstairs with my room key in my hand. As my key was going into the door I panicked and wondered if my door was locked the whole time and worried someone went in my room even if they didn’t
Once I got over that doubt I started doubting if I had my scarf on whilst talking to my neighbours downstairs. This thought only popped up now 8 hours later 😭 . It’s like once I’ve gotten over one anxiety rumination another starts
