Hi, thanks. Koa the Boston was a huge help. The ADU is 380 sf. If you send an email to the info@thisnewadu.com I will email you a copy of the floor plan.

@@URBNBLDRS sure. I went back and watched an earlier video and heard the sq footage. It looks larger. I assume that it is due to the garage. Looks like Koa has a nice life. I have four BTs myself. I hope to be breaking ground on my ADU at end of September 2022. In the past, I've acted as the contractor on renovations, but to keep peace in the house, I've a modular manufactured ADU under contract. The permitting process in Los Angeles for this detached 1K sf ADU has been SLOW, mainly due to the agencies involved moving slower than molasses. The power company has been the worst --- A 2 month wait for an appointment to visit sitr to locate new meter. Now, it has been about 11 weeks without a response. Everything else is ready to go.

Unfortunately anything requiring city or utility approvals, reviews or site visits are slow and inefficient. I would encourage you just to keep pushing. Little by little you will get everything you need. Two requirements for this industry….patience and money.

@@URBNBLDRS words to live by. I have patience if the people are smart, but when an inspector makes a visit and it is obvious that he does not know the building code, then I become frustrated. However, I've quickly learned that our building department and power company are seriously understaffed. I feel sorry for contractors/builders since they are trying to appease their clients while relying on said inefficiencies.
