I just appreciate your true love for drugstore. Too many other YT’rs talk about how they “love” this or that from the drugstore but you never see it again unless it’s in a declutter. So disappointing. I buy 98% drugstore now because why not? It’s amazing!! God bless you and have a beautiful day!

I always do my eyes first. That way any fallout from eye shadow or mascara doesn’t affect my foundation or concealer.
I always put my creams on top of powder. I just feel like the powder covers them up a little. Your eyes look great today!
I always do all my creams before setting, and I also do bronzer, then highlighter, and then blush last, and it makes everything look so natural and seamless!! Specially the highlighter!!

Went to my dollar tree today, hoping to find some good make up and it was a wasteland, they just had nothing. I was hoping for that blush single you showed us recently but nope. Your dollar tree sounds so much better than mine. Our chain stores are such a disappointment in Los Angeles.

I always do my eyes first because of fallout and wanting to shape everything up well, but for complexion my only "weird" thing is doing blush sort of in the middle of foundation since the one I have is far too deep, so to use it I have to do one thin layer of foundation then finish up with a sponge of foundation on top the blush. It's a little convoluted but it works!
Your eye look is gorgeous and I think the contour looks more blended. Just beautiful, but you always look beautiful!
I love videos like this because sometimes switching things up in our routines can make a huge difference in how we feel about a look or can get our creative juices flowing! I started wearing highlighter more often, but applying if before my blush! I always found myself doing blush, highlighter, then jumping back in with my blush brush to blend so I thought why not just do highlighter first? Worked perfectly for a soft, seamless highlight! I also do not do any powder until after I've done all cream products (unless the only cream product I'm using is blush). I also started using my sponge to apply my base out of nowhere; too funny!

So excited to watch!! I, too, bought the Rimmel foundation because of you and it is simply perfection. The Rimmel foundation reminds me of Estée Lauder double wear. I know that’s a big claim but, I swear they apply and wear identically on me. I’m going to try and switch up my steps like this and see what results I get.

You should try putting your blush in an upward motion closer to above your cheeks and closer to the side of your eyes because it gives you a lift to
Your face. The way you put it on makes your cheeks look dropped downward where it makes you look older.. it doesn’t flatter your face .. putting blush on the way you do gives you a droop to your face and anyone else who puts their blush, highlighter and bronzer in that fashion. Try it you’ll see a lift to your face!
Agree. The placement seems a little low. I’ve adjusted placement after watching Wayne Goss. But I love Emily. And I trust her recommendations. ❤
I love the whole look, Em! I usually do my powder after complexion products, including contour/bronzer, so they last longer. I skip it on blush, though.
If I want my makeup to really last I will "underpaint". Putting contour, blush and color corrector, then foundation....etc.

I’m 64 and just tried creamy blush and it just doesn’t go on well. It’s very spotty. No matter what I do it just doesn’t look right.

The whole looks turned out beautiful, as always Em! I changed my technique to this a while back, it helps the concealer to blend into the contour as well so you don’t have real harsh lines between the two! Also helps with cream blush also❤

I do my concealer after my blush to tone it down if it's too bright. The berry lip looks stunning on you.

Hi Emily I do my eyes first aka eye primer and shadow to remove any fallout prior to complexion products. I then do all my liquids and creams first before lightly setting with powder. I have extremely dry skin so I don’t use many powder products anyway. Best wishes x

I feel like I do my makeup all different and I dont know why! For instance, concealer. I always put it on after eyeshadow because it cleans it up. I don't see the benefit of doing it another way! Oh well! Makeup is different for everyone! Love your channel! And you ❤

I put my eyes on first, always have and think it makes more sense...if any fallout it doesn't get on your finished face. I don't understand doing it any other way but most I watch do it backwards imo

I don’t use foundation but I start with brows and mascara first, then bronzer and blush and then concealer. I then powder where needed. I can reign some of the blush in if needed that way and I use less coverage products bc I find I don’t really need it when I do things in that order. And then I add eyeliner or eyeshadow at the end!
Em - I switch things up depending on what I have. I'm currently using as primer the ELF Liquid Poreless or my Urban Hydration Sea Acne Gone Sea the Glow gel, Bare w/Me Blur foundation (shade is Light Neutral), I bake w/the Absolute HD Flawless Translucent Setting Powder (found @ Bealls). I'm still looking 2 refresh my no makeup look w/blush & bronzer/contour but not sure of a solid "go to" shade.

OMG, yes. It’s not just me. I have the Milani oil in Cherry Lime and the lime just makes it smell wrong. It doesn’t mesh. I’ll have to pick up the raspberry one. I love that glossy red color but the cherry lime isn’t working for me.

12:49 I had the Milani lip oil in BlackBerry Agave. I loved the color but the smell and the taste of it (if it unfortunately gets there is) was horrendous. I just could not! Had to declutter instantly.

I have 3 Walmart stores near me. 1 is 5 mins away. The other 2 are 45 minutes from home. However, 1 is 5 mins away from work. Either way, they never have anything different from Maybelline, loreal, Revlon, elf, and wet n' wild. I have to go to target, CVS, Walgreens, or dollar stores. Otherwise, I buy everything online. I don't usually shop at ultra or sephora bc they can be expensive. Come on, Walmart! Get with program.
