  • This is an absolutely beautiful thirteenth century Church built on a Roman Fort. This is St Mary's Church in Caerhun, Conwy, North Wales.
St. Mary’s Church dates back to the 13th century and was built by the Cistercian Monks of Maenan Abbey. The Church is located in the North-Eastern corner of a large Roman fort called Canovium, which was built much earlier in 75AD. Legend suggests that the fort lasted long after Roman withdrawal. In the 6th century, it was occupied by the King of Gwynedd Rhun ap Maelgwn, hence the name Cae-rhun.

I love how you can bash the hell out of a pub piano to entertain us and then you go into a church and treat it with such reverence entertaining us just as much. You really do have a true gift.

Nobody here? Wrong - there are many bodies around, dear Terry. Only a Brit can say the sun is there! Our sun is different in Florida. Well done team Miles!!!

It's just past 11pm here in Dallas, Texas, Monday night, and I am making preparations to lay my head on my pillow. What better way to end the day than a tour of a Roman Fort converted into a Church nestled in the beautiful north Wales countryside and a lullaby by Terry Miles! Made all the better by the gentle rain and tranquility of the Church. I can now sleep soundly and tomorrow begin a new day. Ahh...

Gotta love our beautiful British weather! Seriously, though, I do. And also our beautiful old churches. In past times these churches were places people would retreat to when things outside got rough. The crazier today's world gets, the more I retreat to these old churches. Thanks, Terry, for promoting them. It's wonderful that people like you appreciate our precious living history.

If the walls could only talk so Terry does it for us. The beauty of the church combined with your sensative playing says it all. Keep it up, the world needs uplifting at this moment and this is a reminder that not all is lost.
