Today I go to St Jude & St Paul's Church in Islington, London, N1.
I was very kindly given permission by vicar James to pop in and play a Hymn or two on the very ornate Grand Piano that Vicar James has in his beautiful Church. Abide With Me was one of my late father's favourite hymns, and four years after his passing, still brings tears to my eyes. He would love this version. God bless you dad, God bless you Terry.

Very moving. Written by Rev Henry Francis Lyte, Minister for 23 years in my home town of Brixham, South Devon. Greatly loved by his parishioners, many of whom where fishermen and their families. Nice one Terry, keep it up, I can’t wait for your next piece.

Beautiful sir. This hymn means alot to me. Really lifted my spirits (tears of joy) and reminded me of the words of the hymn: ''Change and decay in all around I see-O Thou who changest not, abide with me.''

Perhaps its both the selection of music and the venue ( not to mention the musician ) that impart a peacefulness of being that otherwise would be missing in that setting.

I've heard this hymn so many times, but your version must be the most emotive one. I live near Brixham where the writer of the lyrics, the reverend Henry F Lyte, was the vicar of All Saints church. The bells play the tune everyday. I hope you'll visit it one day.

The architecture of the church is breathtakingly beautiful , and does look far older than having been built in 1850. Lovely arrangement and playing of a very beautiful hymn!
