I caught two things here. The death date of Kruger changes from 1987 to 1996 and in the credits it’s revealed the secret voice is called, “The Doctor”

That version of the lore was announced as being non canon by pastra, with the new DOAI being the canon lore, but the lankmann foundation still exists within this new lore, so it seems Dr Lankmann still exists too

What I understood from this: Kenneth Kruger was reported dead on 1987, but in actuality, he was still alive, kidnapped by "The Doctor" and probably tortured and/or tested for something for the next 9 years, as we see his true death date and the horrible condition of his body and mental health later. It is also hinted that Lankmann had something to do with this, as we see him messing up the mental helpline number and warning the viewer by changing the text above the number.
The asylum Kruger is in is called "The Lankmann Foundation". Pretty sure the "Doctor" is Doctor Lankmann.

That's an amazing guess because Dr. Lankmann is an actual character in the series, and I believe that this is his introduction.
You can do some research and find out what he's all about, but just know that it's not the same Lankmann from Lankmann's game.

Yeah, this is amazing work isn't it? Also, do you have an idea or theory of what is going on here? I would love to know your thoughts.
It's interesting to point out that Kruger's timeline is pretty weird. He survived the initial attack and was able to function after "years" of therapy, but the narrator says the disappearances occurred "last year" and in addition Kruger's death year changes from 1987 in the "normal" version to 1996 in the "warped" version. Honestly my immediate and half-baked guess is that Officer Kruger had nightmares (cause, you know, dreams of an insomniac) for a year, eventually committing suicide because of them, but is now stuck in this Nightmare World with The Doctor/Lankman, but this is kind of a stretch tbh and it doesn't account for all the timeline inaccuracies unless you assume there some weird supernatural stuff going on with the tapes themselves and the dates they give.

It's a good theory, but my personal take on it is that officer Krueger touched Clyde in 1987, and then he was taken away by the doctor figure that we hear at the end, who faked Krueger death

That voice at the end is called "The Doctor" in the credits, and those red eyes are very familiar. If that's Lankmann, I'm gonna be VERY intrigued. I suppose the very cartoonishly evil voice done by Pastra himself wouldn't have fit in the more serious atmosphere, so it makes sense, But I'm still a bit taken aback.

Bruh the little pause before "seek help" is REALLY well placed -- I got chills down my spine, right before the bigger change. It really shows how many little details there are in this that can easily be overlooked

It makes me so sad that this hasn’t been getting as much attention as your other videos. It’s pretty discouraging when your original work seems to be completely ignored. Don’t give up! I can see you really put a lot of care and effort into these. Keep making these! It’s only a matter of time before it gets the attention it deserves.

Also, using "scene of the crime" to describe how they found Kruger is either an odd word choice or a hint. I havent decided yet.

Pastra has said recently that he chose all the language in this series very deliberately, so I doubt it was a coincidence
Okey, so let's see what we got so far:
-The autorities are trying to hide the truth of what truly happened to Krueger saying that he commited suicide during the Halloween night
-Thanks to the Episode 0 "Haunted Halloween PSA" and the end of this new Episode we know that Krueger is not dead, he has been kipnapped by someone or some organization that doesn't want people to know what truly happened that night
-Krueger is in pain and he wants to die, but whoever kidnapped him won't let him die, saying that he is very "useful" ... maybe because he wants to study his "mutation" in order to have a better understanding of the Smiling Snatcher *OR MAYBE* because he is the only victim of the Smiling Snatcher that somehow is still alive after his "mutation" (Let's remember that Pastra said that Clyde kills anything it touches, but somehow Krueger survived)
I will remain beliving in my theory that says that Official Krueger *is* or *would eventually become* Lankmann, since that would explain why he appears in the videos for no apparent reason.

Hadn't even considered the idea that Krueger evolves into Lankmann later on. After all, Lankmann and Kreuger both have a super distorted face, as we see in Vol. 0 for Kreuger (go to like 12:31, half speed, and just watch. You'll see most of the image that is censored of what his face looked like post-contact with Clyde). I might be stretching that a bit, but who knows

That twist with the change of Kruger's time of death was absolutely chilling. I love horrifying details like this that really get you if you're paying attention. I could totally see you directing the story and/or art for a game or maybe even a movie some day. Really looking forward to seeing how your style evolves in the future. Never stop creating.

I know I'm a few months late to the party, but there was also a hint that he did not die in the first chapter. The section of the video where they first mention Kruger's encounter with the demon is labeled as "Police Training Tape, 1993" and implies he is still alive. The police seem to be lying to the public.
While we're still working on it, I figured I'd put what we (The Pastra server and myself) have come up with so far for the letter at 1:51 here:

Did anything in the letter seem to change with the frame shift at 2:00? I tried to check and see with my art program, but medibang paint is kinda trash for filters to sharpen anything.
@@rayneingdown it does change! I think that it’s Clyde tempering with the video because when the number for mental services was showed it changed to something along the lines of “You are alone. This is your tomb”. So if someone is able to decipher both letters we might see what was Clyde’s message
Since Lankman isn't a monster but looks like a monster to those effected by the Veldigun that explains the glowing eyes. And we aren't sure when he is consumed by Clyde it's my best and immediate guess to this episode. Keep up the good work Zach.

Lankmann did say during his "game" that he was going to be the one guiding us through this, but we also know that he was once someone called "Vincent", and that both Vincent and Lankmann would have had a part of this, while things did change. However, it's weird we haven't directly seen, heard, or even had a reference too him doing anything besides "Lankmann Industries" in volume 0.

Man, I KNEW something was up with this guy's intentionally bad acting!!! That is such an unexpected plot device and I am LIVING for it!!!
Its really interesting that Kruger died on the next Halloween... something tells me he was learning too much and his death was framed or he was pressured into the act as no option was available (much like the mandella catalog) Of course, I want to reiterate as suicide is such a serious and difficult issue for anyone involved: there is always a way out and you CAN call a lifeline or reach out to a hospital your horror's of the mind doesn't have to become your reality. You can fight the fiction of your subconscious. Seeing him so contorted in the limited light almost as if he's BECOMING one of the horrifying drawings is fascinating and chilling. The screaming and soft muffled sobbing that can be heard during the memorial service is obviously tragic but also makes you ask the question of who is crying. His son, fellow officer or best friend, or himself before asking for help.
Seeing Lankmann (at least those eyes are shaped like his facial proportions from what I remember is AWESOME! He almost looked like he was in 3D and I am REALLY curious to see what Pastra's universal anomalies would look like in a 3D space whether as people in cosplays acting out roles or as Rendered models mixed in with the footage, hell even seeing 2d creatures of horror in a 3d victims life would be kickass!!!
Whatever comes next, I am SO hyped for it!!!

this is one of the first analogue horror serieses that actually made me feel unsettled. they've always been kinda funny to me, but damn, this one felt actually pretty creepy!! can't wait for the next ones, keep up the great work dude 👍

I've nearly lost many people in my life in a similar manner, and sometimes I still feel the emotional effects years later, any time something like this is mentioned, it feels almost unnerving, or uncomfortable, and using that to emotional it prime you to increase the Emotions of the later half, just brings it all together with a nice little bow
This series is wonderful, actually fear inducing. Everyone who worked on this is so talented. Please keep the good work going and continue scaring people. :)

Ok, predictions for the next volumes:
Volume 1 - Focusing on Winfrey and Lankmann’s asylum (where Winfrey’s currently being kept, for those who don’t know)
Volume 2 - Focusing on Klaus, and maybe some more information as to why he shares the same name as Krueger’s son
Volume 3 - Focusing on Jack and something else (we don’t know too much about him, so we can’t say for sure what else that volume will focus on)
Volume 4 - Focusing on Simon, and further information on how Veldigun work: e.g how Simon is able to stop himself from killing people
Volume 5 - Focusing on The Flock, and, again, more information on how Veldigun work: this time focusing on the physical side of things whereas Volume 4 was more about their mentality
Volume 6 - Focuses on where the Veldigun came from, as well as other unanswered questions.
