I love the detail that he didn't HAVE to turn around to seen the monster's face. It's face just appears in the shadow of his leg, as if warning him "I won't go away if you simply ignore me. I'M. RIGHT. HERE. WITNESS. ME." Understandably the man freaks out and runs like a madman.

The orange light representing Clyde's presence is such a great piece of imagery, really helps sell how powerful and inescapable he is once he's decided he wants you.
According to Pastra the light is simply Clyde's glowing eyes. They wanted a way to show that Clyde is nearby without actually showing him so the light was used. Also during the chase sequence you can hear that Clyde is chasing the dude on all fours.

To be honest. Whenever I see the monster that looks like your character, I’m not scared because I’m semi-expecting him to talk about how bendy is underrated for at least an hour.

Clyde isn't a spooky monster that just sits and jumpscares he is a presence mentally breaking you down making you question if your doing the right thing and that's why he might be the scariest monster I have ever seen in analog horror

The thing about Clyde is, he isn't some " WOw that guy's- AAAAA HUYMPSCARE!!!!!!" No, he is simply a presence. He plays with his food. Not to mention his little " Father, Father, You must turn around, I, a child you have been looking for, am facing your back, turn around. So I may be facing your face. " to " HAHAHAHA! JUST KIDDING I'M A SPOOKY MONSTER THAT STOLE YOUR CHILD!!!!! " and then to " Hey, You suck, But you don't have to suck. Just click on this free download for minecraft mario backrooms!!! " is just showcasing how he messes with you, before murdering you brutally and I think stealing your mind to put onto another monstrosity.

So from what I can tell, Clyde has devoured and essentially erased the Wilson family from the town's memory
My thoughts: I love that (I assume) Clyde has the raspy luring voice and how his eyes give off a glow like a jack-o-lantern. I also love how Clyde is becoming smarter by wearing different disguises so he can’t be recognized as the Eastrich County Demon. And the “I’m behind you…” line was exceedingly tense. Love your work Pastra keep up the good content and spooks!🎃
He seems to be borrowing the child's voice, but it's still quite freaky
when I saw that Pastra played the whispering child I was in disbelief, it was amazing because it sounded so disturbing and nothing like a human, I had no clue that it was Pastras's voice
One thing i absolutely love about this is how Clyde's associated with yellow light.
Let's you know when the shit is about to go down and when the smiling snatcher is nearby.
Clyde talking with a child's voice is actually very creepy.
I'm not a fan of horror. I've never played a horror game, and I'm sure the amount of horror movies I've watched is in the single digits. But I absolutely adore this series. The scene with the father looking for their child was genuinely so tense, and I was terrified when it said "I'm behind you." Can't wait for volume 1.

I'm pretty sure this is what happened to the kid wearing the ghost costume since we see his picture appear when the line is said in Haunted Halloween PSA.
The use of directional audio is so amazing. I'm wearing headphones so as we hear all those strange noises I'm just screaming, "LOOK TO YOUR RIGHT IT'S RIGHT THERE!" Also took me a minute to realize the father was Lyra lol

I can just imagine Clyde walking around with his horrific grin as you try to catch your breath for a slight minute before he slowly looks down at you

This series is turning out to be so wonderfully creepy, absolutely love it.
The child's voice was so well done, really gave me chills, especially on that "I'm behind you". The video footage perfectly matched that, it was so eerie, really gives that disturbing found footage feel. And those photos just keep continuing to be the stuff of nightmares man.
Also, I feel like noone ever talks about these, but the music that plays during the credits? Such a perfect fit. It sounds like it could almost be something relaxing, but it's just slightly too off. It could almost be the calm after the storm, the "phew, we made it to the end, the scary video is over", but it maintains that creepy tone that keeps you from feeling truly safe, like something is gonna suddenly pop up during the credits.
Truly amazing job by everyone who worked on this. The quality has only improved since the last installment, and you can tell how much love and effort was put into it.
Can't wait to see what comes next! Well, I can, but you get the point. We'll just keep ignoring the knocking and voices outside our windows until then!

The orange lighting, the thumbnail, and the overall sadistic tone of this makes me certain that this is Clyde. And oh man is he just terrifying in real life!
Loving the use of orange coloring in this, gives off an eerie halloween vibe.
Damn Pastra you really knocked It out of the park this time the slow build up mixed with actually great voice acting the sound effects and of course the lighting, You gotta be proud of yourself man cant wait to see more uploads...
This is the first horror series that's made me genuinely want to analyze it for clues n shit before i see someone else do it
Damn this was TERRIFYING yet fascinating! I really like how the Demon seems to have almost an oppositional effect when it comes to the attack. Rather than making the lights flicker off one by one, it creates this glowing artificial feeling, much like the uncomfortable buzzing and glowing UV lights found in the back rooms. It also makes me think of how the creators of Midsomnar wanted to create horror in vivid daylight so that all color and detail of the atrocities committed could be seen. The distorted faces of the babies and child REALLY messed with me... Maybe it's cause I have a soft spot for kids or recognize their vulnerability and (despite being little hell spawns depending on the kid) are meant to represent purity. So seeing something so small and for the most part completely defenseless and so horribly disfigured is nothing short of chilling. The feelings of being lost, alone, and even forgotten completely... erased to never be seen again is something I feel all have feared at some point and illustrated SO bittersweet. Can't wait to see what the Demon holds for us next!

Super excited to see the rest of the veldiguns if they show up. I think a really cool touch for Winfrey's horror would be if he constantly muttered the depraved ramblings of the strange, horrifying people at the asylum he lived in and the patients they tested on too. Hearing dozens of voices all simultaneously sobbing, laughing, screaming and speaking matter of factly all from the mouth of a single beast. It hunts....
It catches its prey...
And the next time it hunts, the ramblings are one voice stronger.

Finally got around to watching these and I'm sorry I didn't do so earlier, this is one of the best horror series I've ever watched on CZcams. Did not expect that Clyde could be so creepy but he's a really effective monster, and I love how each entry builds upon the last. Everyone did such a fantastic job, especially love the audio work and voice acting (the child's voice is brilliant).
I still can't get over the "I'm behind you" moment. I was fully expecting for the camera to turn and either show the monster or have there be nothing just to set up a jumpscare when it turns back around, as that's a trick I've seen done several times in horror. But to have the camera stay put and then that colour appears... that was one of the most unsettling moments I've ever experienced in my entire life. Absolutely genius.
Loved every second of this series and am now eagerly awaiting the next entry.

This was yet another great episode pastra! I loved it! I also cant wait to see how Lanmann fits into everything in this. I couldent help but see a small insparation from the Mandela catalogue which means its going to be great! thank for making everything so ominous and creepy for us pastra ( and the rest of the team!) continue to make amazing content!!!
I must say, this is probably my favorite DOAI episode. There is just something horrifying about it that the other episodes don't have. I can't really explain it.

I love the call back to the first video in this series with the choice of our perpetrator being in a sheet ghost costume. That moment in the PSA was likely foreshadowing to this moment, where Clyde here dons the skin of one of the missing kids in order to manipulate the father of said kid.

Not only that but the whispering here 4:40 genually makes you feel like there is someone whispering in your ear and makes it so that you can almost feel the breath on the side of your neck.

Literally discovered this yesterday and I am loving it. After seeing all of your cartoonish drawings of Clyde, I was shocked and impressed at the horrific depictions shown so far in Dreams of an Insomniac. Legitimately some of the most disturbing art I've ever seen, cannot wait to learn more :)
I also cannot help but praise the fact that you somehow seem to know exactly what scares me. The images of Clyde/Snatcher in the sheet ghost costume for example. Seeing a shadowy figure only visible due to some light behind them in a dark room is terrifying to me. Not to mention the odd sense of terror I felt seeing him at the window with the caption "I love you". God, this is incredible.
4:30 judging from the angle of the light, clyde is standing right infront of him, either that, or towering at the other side of the room.
This is something I would never expect from pastra's more cartoonish area of expertise. It's really interesting

I regret putting it off for so long, IT'S SO GOOD. I already loved Clyde, but this made me love him like 10 times more. This series so far genuinely sent a chill down my spine a few times, this is so well made. I just. Love this so much. Everything about this.
A bit late to the party but WOW!!! This was AMAZINGLY put together!! The goosebumps I got, especially with the directional audio??? Outstanding!
And this is only fueling my theories of the Lankman Corp being some sort of, possibly corrupt, cryptid/monster hunter agency, with Clyde as their number one target in this lil town. The tape is for "authorized personnel" after all, only those authorized as part of the "hunt" would be allowed to view it."
This whole series is very cool!
Also, from what I can see, The “smiling snatcher” (Clyde) is, from what I can tell, potentially messing with those family photos and throwing in whatever the dude wants, either by distorting the original image, or completely altering it, kinda weird though how the last two images have text to describe them (Goodbye and I love you) that don’t really seem like something that would be originally in those family photos.

I never thought analog horror would scare me until today. This scared me like nothing else. The whole time I wasn't scared of what was happening but of what was going to happen. We need more of this series and more of this concept in analog horror in general.
