I'm not ashamed to admit it: I think Roger Corman's Fantastic Four movie is still THE best Fantastic Four movie we've gotten. I absolutely HATE when film adaptations stray from the comics; it feels like filmmakers are ashamed of the source material. Anybody who is ashamed of comic books is NOT the type of person who should be working on comic book films in the first place. Thank you Roger Corman for embracing the Fantastic Four, the fantastic nature of comics, and yes, thank you for embracing the inherent silliness of superheroes.

Corman's depiction of Dr. Doom is probably the most accurate one compared to the latters. That's one thing that I appreciate him the most.

RIP to the King Of The B Movies. He made Jack Nicholson a star by having him in some of his movies like Little Shop Of Horrors 1960, The Terror And The Raven, both released in 1963.
He made all his films in 15-16 days.

He made a lot of low budget films with barely amount of substance, but he was legend. RIP
Corman was the king of horror movies in the late 1950's and early 1960's. A great filmmaker of low budget movies. He directed the original, "Little Shop of Horrors"! He lived to be 97 or 98 years old.

Roger Corman if it wasnt for his company none of us would see The Punisher 1989, The Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk movies, Android, House, TV Nam, Crime Story, The Wonder Years many of his films didn't have a great budget yet entertaining, great TV shows again budget. I still have Moon-Knight No#1 1989 comic, Mr Corman thanks again 👍🏾 where may you find peace, hopefully your greeted by Mace Neufeld. R.I.E.L.P.

I don’t care what you people think about the Roger Corman film, in my personal opinion this movie is a faithful adaptation of the fantastic four, also the actor played these characters actually read the comics.
Corman made the most faithful F4, with the most faithful Dr Doom - he was straightforward and practical - he saw that the material was good and also popular - so he didn't try to screw with it - he just did his best to deliver it onscreen, using what limited resources he had - and for some reason, nobody else has tried this simple, common sense approach

Roger Corman's low budget B-movie production company was like a school/boot camp for many of our most famous movie people - Corman ushered in our New Hollywood - here are the ppl who were mentored by this: Godfather's Coppola; Goodfellas' DeNiro and Scorsese; Avatar's Cameron; Silence of the Lamb's Demme; Joker Jack Nicholson; Blue Velvet's Dennis Hopper; Star Trek's Shatner; Howling's Dante; Apollo 13's Howard - all of them "studied" in Corman's "school" - plus he directed the 60s Poe horror cycle, and the original Little Shop of Horrors, which featured Jack Nicholson in his first film role - Corman is the Godfather of New Hollywood (plus his F4 is the only movie that even tried to give us a faithful Dr Doom) - RIP

Say what you want, his version of Fantastic Four is a good movie
I've heard praise for this movie regarding its faithful portrayal of characters, the filmmaker's luck in securing the rights to the Fantastic Four, and managing to produce it with just a $1 million budget, hence the limited VFX. May the filmmaker rest in peace.

Roger Corman didn't direct the 1994 Fantastic Four movie. Oley Sassone did. Corman was a executive producer on it.
