    had a horrid day at work today because of Anxiety, all of the random physical symptoms hit me like a freight train have for the past 2 days. horrible throbbing headaches, the motion sick feeling followed by dizziness when walking around, body sweats, blurry vision, scary thoughts, etc etc. and to top it off, while i was talking to my boss man about to end the day (i'm a security guard) out of the blue the worst of the worst panic attacks hit me. BUT then i recalled a lot of things that i have learned from your videos friend and that truly helped me shake off the panic attack a LOT and help me keep my cool. So in summary like i said on your last video thank you for giving me hope and for keeping me strong and positive when the going gets rough. keep up the amazing work!, and god bless! :)

    Hi, I'm not sure if you will even see this but I like your videos so much. I've been very stressed lately applying to nursing schools. It almost makes me not even want to bother to apply. I can't sleep and keep making stupid choices and a lot of those little worries and thoughts you mention keep going through my mind. I understand what you mean about the "safe zone". I moved to a new town in June and haven't gone out except to go to work. I haven't made a friend yet or gone out because I guess it is just scary and makes me anxious. So I stay home. But your videos help me so much when I'm too anxious to do anything. Thank you for all the tips and thoughtful advice and personal experiences. I'm very thankful to you. Thank you.

    Hi! thank you so much. Testimonials like these always give me hope. I always challenged myself, specially going to stores and markets, and I got better, but there is always a fear. Never got rid of it. When I am outside, I am always ´looking inside´. It´s very rare to have something close to a panic attack, but I have this constant tension, that I dont have at home. And I get frustrated because I KNOW nothing will happen, that some of the symptons are not anxiety, but stomach ache, and that IF it happens, it will pass, but I am still anxious and scanning my body.
    In the past years, I focused too much on strategies to eliminate panic attacks and too little on lowering my anxiety. Now I am journaling everyday, doing some relax exercises, etc,. I will try the eye contact and to organize my time better and try to let go more. I am a control freak.
    Note: I dont have social phobia, I love being outside, talking to people. But, at home, I know how to dissipate a panic attack better, I have more resources (breathing deep until I sleep on the bed, PC, guitar, etc). My biggest fear is not exactly being embarassed, but the suffering of the panic attack itself (or heavy anxiety).
    Can you give me an advice? Thanks in advance.

    Have you ever worried and stressed yourself so bad to the point where your anxiety became so overwhelming that it affected you every day for weeks straight? I mean like you couldn't even function or sit still because you felt so physically ill? Like you don't know what to do with yourself because you feel so scared and constantly worrying about the way you feel? I have been going through this for months! I'm afraid of trying new meds because of horrible withdrawal I've went through in the past. Also because I'm afraid I'll have some kind of bad reaction to a new med. it's so bad that I'm afraid to even get in the shower because it makes my anxiety worse for some reason. I tried getting in yesterday and I had a panic attack, jumped out.with some soap still on me, got dressed as fast as I could and sat in the emergency room parking lot until I felt decent enough to come home. I've had anxiety for over 17 years. I'm 35 now. It's never been this bad. It got real bad this past February.

      Sylena Hostetler I certainly remember having times where I was destroyed mentally, physically and emotionally due to prolonged stress and anxiety...I had to laugh when I heard you say you sat in the ER parking lot...truth be told I used to sleep there many nights because I wanted to be as close as possible just in case I was dieing they could save me...it's only slightly funny to me now...but I remember how horrible it was at the time. Rest and refuel....rest and refuel and rest some more is the only thing that would bring me out of a bad stretch. Take note of what your thinking about in the shower....thats where my most creative scary thinking has always taken place...continue to watch and simply apply some of these strategies and be patient....you'll see the improvement...Take care!

      Being in the shower is also a place where you are the most vulnerable. Here you are without being clothed, so you cannot just run out of the door calling for help and the phone is out of reach. I know it sounds crazy, but for someone with anxiety it becomes a thought

    Thank you so much for your response. I have watched a lot of your videos and you seem to have went through a lot of the same symptoms. Especially always feeling the need to be close to a hospital "just incase". My doctor wants to try and put me on meds for bipolar but I'm not bipolar! I currently take Lexapro, Vistaril and 4 Mg's of Klonopin a day. I've never had to be on this much Klonopin! It's obviously not working anymore. I was on it in the past for over 10 years at only 1.5 Mg's a day. And I did fine. I don't know how I got so bad. All I do is ride around, sit in the hospital parking lot and rock in a chair at home because I feel so anxious and scared. I'm so worried about what med my Dr. Is going to put me on. I have such a fear of withdrawal and new meds! Do you still take meds?

    Ignore my name its the name of a children of bodom album(metal band) but how do you sleep with anxiety? since it all started about 6 months ago insomnia was one of the first symptoms for me. Been taking trazodone for the last three months and it helps me sleep but still only about 6 hours a night, if I don't take it I only sleep about 4-5 hours and usually wake up a few times during that. It's the only medication I'll take right now though just so I can get some sleep, but I don't wanna keep taking it because I know I probably have some kind of dependence to it now and I think it might be making me lose my hair faster, but I know the anxiety is probably contributing to that too. I watched one of your videos where you talk about the symptoms and such, thinking about commenting some of mine, I will say though that I stumbled across your channel about a week and a half ago and I watched the video where you talked about doing nothing when it comes to your symptoms then I watched one of your earliest videos(the one in black and white) and did feel a little more positive!

    My perfectionism is bad. I recently got a new car and I noticed a very small rattle that sometimes happens but isn't super noticeable. What if the service dept. doesn't hear it/can't fix it/makes it worse/etc etc. it's really making me feel "stuck". How do you suggest I view this situation?

    Question. We're you working when you had your panic disorder?

    • @Diggler056
      @Diggler056  Před 4 lety

      Yes, I didnt have a choice in my mind. I knew if I didnt my world would continue to get smaller. The more avoidance behaviors I gave into the worse my anxiety became. I cannot stress enough the importance of pushing through difficult and scary things I wanted to avoid for fear of having an episode.

      I'm home a lot with 2 small girls. I want to challenge myself but it's hard because of covid and everything being closed. So I have terrible anxiety and terrible anxiety sensations being inside all the time. I also ruminate obsessively about how awful I feel. Its hard for me to present. Do you have any suggestions? This so exhausting.I have been suffering for 1.5 years.

    • @Diggler056
      @Diggler056  Před 4 lety

      @@juliebridgeman4205 I can see the challenge with what's been happening so far this year hindering taking steps ...personally I've worked through this entire thing thus far and in order for a cycle to be broken change must happen in some form or fashion. If that means just going outside for a walk with the kids everyday then so be it...can be 5 mins if need be and add a min each day...never underestimate the small gain...little wins are still wins and exposure is everything. What we fear can only be lessened and ultimately eliminated by exposure or acceptance..its vital to recovery to change up what 4 walls you see ...whether inside or outside. I say this because we are able to obsess because of a lack of new stimuli, we are able to obsess because our rituals or routine never changes and allows the mind to autopilot experience we are all to familar with and again ultimately allows intrusive thought patterns to remain dominate. Dont get me wrong body symptoms are scary and can paralyze you but dont you find it funny how when something good or bad happens outside of the routine they disappear in a flash and only return when we go back to the same ole sitting spot or place where we are most familar with...couch, chair ect...
