But there was one thing that sustained me and that was the innocent life growing within me; a tiny boy that needed his mother in order to live... He needed me. Contrary to what abortion activists will tell you, rather than the pregnancy destroying you, it actually heals you. Especially after rape. Looking into the eyes of your beautiful baby for the first time, gives you purpose, and the opportunity to bring good out of something bad. Rape violates a young women in many ways, but giving birth, giving life to a precious child, your child, fulfills you. Is what happened to the young woman fair? Of course not, but who ever said life was fair? Cancer isn't fair, the death of a loved one, whom died far too young, isn't fair... But dealing with life's hardships, and taking advantage of life sustaining support, brings healing, and even a joy you would have never known, if you had chosen the option of death. Taking another life, will not and cannot ever make up for the things you lost in your own life. Choose life, for yourself and your child, and you will never be sorry you made that choice.

I just saw the photos of an ultrasound of a friend's grandson. The little boy was turning over, yawning and kicking. I could see the shape of his little nose and face. His mother is just now four months along.
