If I was told that the child I was caring had a birth effect or disease in which their quality of life would be diminished that they would be in pain that they were not going to live or live long decision for me would be easy I would not bring them into The world. If you gave Bertha that child and he lived for a few months several year and those months would’ve been in pain do you even consider that kind of pain he of been in? Our second child had Trisomy 18. Skylar was born May 20th 2016 doctors told us at Tucson Medical Center that we should have aborted her. Told them God created her for a reason and he will call her when he is ready. NICU loved Skylar, she fought hard but sadly passed away on October 11 2016.

In your situation it is different, because your child was up against the odds of a genetic disorder that there is no "fix" to. I was told by the doctors i "should consider an abortion" because my son "might be born with disabilities". But i refused! My son was born with club foot and dyslexic, but that's not worth ending an innocent life over. Yeah i took the risks, but i was the one who also made the choice to get pregnant. People can argue until they are blue in the face, i REALLY don't care because i don't believe in killing your child just because "you can" or you "want to take the easy way out" 🙄. Some claim because its "unfair to the child", but lets be real here its because there are also said females who dont "want to be stuck with a disabled child". Abortion is NOT meant for birth control! My little sister was born with Trisomy 18. She lived for 5 months with severe pain. I loved her with all of my heart. We all did. We did everything that we could to make her life easier, but it was very obvious that she was suffering. I strongly feel that if she could have chosen to be spared her life of pain, she would have. It’s cruel to purposefully bring these innocent lives into the world only to watch them suffer and die.

She made her choice I could not be pro-choice if I said she shouldn’t have made her choice. It was hers to make and if she’s ok with it then I am also. But I find it cruel.
