      You dont have to be religious to be pro-life. And there are things you can do to help the pro--life movement.
      1. Vote for pro-life politicians.
      2. Donate time and/or money to pregnancy resource centers or donate to a pro-life cause
      3. Peaceful protest at an abortion mill (best to get hooked up with a group that already does it since there are laws about getting to close to the clinic etc).
      4.Sign petitions asking state or federal lawmakers to make laws to protect unborn children.
      5. Keep posting on forums like this to help educate people on the humanity of the unborn child.
      p.s. secularprolife.org is a good website for pro-lifers who are not religious.

      Awesome that you want to help. Make an appointment at your local prolife pregnancy center to speak with director or volunteer coordinator. Lots of ways to help - behind the scenes administrative work, counseling, adoption programs, educational programs, etc. When you search ask specifically if they do abortions or refer abortions if they do it is not a prolife clinic.

Both diaphram and the condom has no negative medical effects. The pill may not be for every women, but should be screened on what types of artificial birth control recommended by a doctor and FDA approved. So I would like you to provide me your evidence about the pill causing depression. I take birth control, but my contraception method is abstinence.
    I want to stop taking it, but I can't do so discretely, because I'm in supported living, so I'm administered my meds by other people and I take them supervised by other people, and I'm just not confident enough that I want to let hours of agonising cramping back into my life yet and I'm nervous to discuss it with staff, because I'm kinda passive like that.
    Despite not having fully made my mind up, I feel stuck on it and even if I was sure I don't know how I would explain why, because I want to stop, I can handle getting debilitating pain, but I don't know how to explain to myself why even, never mind someone else. I think people would try to talk me out of stopping as well if they knew it was helping with period cramps.

    I don’t understand why pro-life people are against birth control. why not be all for the prevention of unwanted pregnancy? The pill stops ovulation, it does not terminate a pregnancy. An abortion is terminating a pregnancy. I don’t understand the logic between the connection of birth control & abortion? Shouldn’t pro-life individuals support the use of birth control access thus reducing abortions?

    You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!! about all forms of birth control being abortive, with the exception of abstinance. I heard the audience applaud first > then go silent. Easy to figure that one out . . . because the Biblical approach to birth control would be to trust the Word > which says that Jesus opens and closes the womb!!! That's a tough one for a married couple to face; especially for a woman. Man's Biblical role in life is to work and a woman's position is to keep her house and bear children. Be gone with legalism here!!! There is a BALANCE . . and by God's grace a couple can find it. Personally we trusted for our children and were blessed with 6. Others maybe 12, but some only 2. Be persuaded yourself. Children ARE a blessing. And, yes, Abby!!! The church is NOT teaching this truth any more. And, yes. That's 'why' we are in such a MESS today. This statement was not meant for condemnation, but I beg you to study the scriptures yourselves and be persuaded in your own heart. Then you will have no regrets.

    • @JohnStevens79
      @JohnStevens79 Před 5 lety +13

      The rhythm method is not contraception (also, the rhythm method is so archaic that to use that as an example suggests you have not kept up with state of the art). Contraception is the act of frustrating the telos of sex WHILE HAVING SEX. The rhythm method tells you when NOT to have sex. NOT having sex is, thus, not contraception. To reiterate: to be contracepted sex, one must have . . . you know, actual sex.

    • @maryjones6115
      @maryjones6115 Před 5 lety +7

      The Catholic Church teaches Natural Family Planning, the natural spacing of children. NFP does not contracept conception, it prevents conception via abstinence during the woman's fertile phase. Artificial birth control is a method/mindset wherein you can have sex during the fertile phase and still NOT conceive. Two completely different things. If you are saying that a couple should have sex whenever they want, and if they conceive, so be it...the Church is on board with that. But, if there is SERIOUS reason (medical, moral, ethical, spiritual) not to conceive, then NFP is suggested. If a woman is on chemo, for example, NFP would be suggested. The Church has always said that any time a couple engages in the 'marriage act', it must be open to life.
