Lol at 04:07 Sam and the British delegation celebrating and chanting “we got points! we got points!” After his first 12 points and last years last place finish with the dreaded 0 points, not to mention the many bottom or near bottom place finishes in recent years. 😂 I remember him saying in an interview that if the UK got just a single point he would celebrate as if he’d won the whole contest. 🤣
The UK got more points after a few rounds than in the last 5 years or so haha
Sam is a great singer and represents him self as a humble and dedicated person. He is one of the favourites of so many countries. And got 12points not only from Ukraine. But Ochman was underestimated.

Such a nice guy, the UK couldn’t have hoped for a better ambassador to represent us at Eurovision. I also really liked the polish song and thought he was under rated, he had amazing vocals.

Some interesting facts about Spain's result this year:
- The highest amount of sets of 12 points Spain had gotten in one year since 2000 was just 3 (in 2002). And this year we got 3 sets of 12 points, in a row, in less than 2 minutes. Like WOW. And, in the end, 8 sets of 12 points in the jury + 1 in the televoting (from Greece). Out of these 9 countries, only Portugal and Malta had previously given 12 points to Spain (at least once).
- Also, the highest number of points achieved by Spain in the contest, till this year, was 125 points (obtained in 1973, when the voting system was not even the one we have today). We surpassed that amount of points when Switzerland (the 23rd jury) gave us 8 points. And in the end, we got 459 points (334 more than our previous record). And that's also more points than all the points we got from 2011 to 2021 combined (447). That's insane!

Last Dance and Die Together are definitely the Renaissance Entries for Greece, in terms of enabling our country to reach the top 10 two years in a row. In the last decade after 2013, Greece didn't have the best track record in terms of getting good places and I am happy that we are slowly getting back into the game.
Also I am very happy that us greeks gave you 12 points in televoting and I think 5 points with the juries. Greece was one of the few countries this year that didn't give 12 points to ukraine based of televoting.
As I expressed it couple of days ago, I am very happy and proud of Spain. In my opinion this year Spain deserved to win. Nonetheless I wish all the best for Spain in the future and I am beyond happy that Spain isn't in the bottom 5 in the grand final anymore.

Moldova should have been at least in top 5!
How is it unfair? Romanian jury cheated, along with 5 other juries. That's why their votes were replaced. If you want to have your original votes count, don't cheat.

We finished in last place for the last two years and haven't got a solid run since 2009 when we finished 5th. Pleased for spain too though
Yeah, pretty similar, although there's one little difference, our history in Eurovision is worse than uk's XD. They've won 5 times, we won 2 times like a really long time ago in a row (68 & 69) and hat's it for spain. We haven't had a solid run like this for 27 years (1995, second place). It's insane even if we didn't win, the news are still talking about this since Saturday 😂

UK and Spain always get bad points in the past, but this year, both of them made a comeback after 20 (UK) and 27 (Spain) years. And the way Sam Ryder and the UK team shouted ‘we got points!’ after getting their first 12 points is iconic and the highlight.
The Netherlands gave the UK its first set of any kind of points since 2019, and Ukraine gave them their first 12 since 2017 (when Lucie Jones got 12 from Australia)
Moldova was disregarded way too much by the jury, so glad they got so many points from the public
the jury show was friday night and the mood was little bit dead... but during the final show when people are little bit piss they tend to vote to party songs
25:28 apparently Romania gave 12 points to Moldova (which happens every year when they have a decent representation 😂), the organizers just claimed there are connection issues to change the vote. It's a huge scandal 😂
Serbia also received small number from the jury - but was probably second from the public - that was surprising for me. So the jury does not like poetry only vocals ?
Because nobody with an ounce of common sense can take that act seriously…
Moldova happened to be at the right time in the contest, just after a dirge of ballads. However, the juries got it right. It was a rip-off of The Ramones' Hey Ho Let's Go and the juries always mark down for songs that blatantly sound like anything else.
As Brit I’m thrilled we achieved top spot with the jury vote, I felt a little bad for Germany though being the only country to score 0 😬

Malik really didnt deserve that. It may not have been the best song, but it was worth way more than a last place.
Maybe if the organizers would have counted the actual votes instead of algorithms Germany would've end up with more than 0 points. Think i saw it on some cancelled votes.

Romania couldn't make it to the live because they were''t allowed. The romanian jury gave 12 p to Moldova, 10 to Greece, but EBU decided something else. Such a pitty...

Due to vote rigging. Which if the evidence was there I think is perfectly fair that the jury scores were replaced. Important to note, the televote scores were left unchanged obviously

Vote rigging is a very serious accusation so I doubt you will hear anything from the EBU until an investigation has been completed and all the facts are known. It would be the wrong thing to release a statement beyond what we have heard so far. It's a sad state of affairs that there would be vote rigging for a song contest.

Yes, exactly. EBU is not transparent at all and it's losing its credibility. Apparently they tampered with these votes in SF2 too, which means that Cyprus could've qualified ...

I’m rewatching this and as a Swede I would like to apologise for my country not giving any jury or televotes points to Portugal last year. Apparently no one in my country appreciates pure art and poetry. Portugal’s 2022 song is quite possibly my favourite eurovision entry of all time and I still sing it constantly! Let's say loud that something weird happened with removing Romanian jury points and anyone wasn't even announce that they are gonna cancel their votes and put others and our representing wasn't allowed to enter to present our point while they were lying there were technical issues. Yeah something really messy happened but it was beacuse of the jurors from those six countries whose votes were recalculated, Ebu discovered that they were organized to exchange points between them.

How come Moldova and Romania did not vote each other like every single time?! Moldova song was emotional and with a strong message... There is something fishy with the voting this year
Something went wrong with romania’s votes so they had to estimate which votes they were going to give, that’s why Romania’s points didn’t go to Moldova as they were supposed to. You can read about it on the eurovision website
Romanian jury gave 12 points to Moldova. But the EBU decided to erase Romania's votes and make them up using some questionable mathematical model. It's unacceptable.

It's a shame what jury it's doing to countries like Moldova..public put them on second place,and jury almost last. Remember this: Public (239 points) / Jury(14 points). The jury has different criteria to the public when voting. They are encouraged to place a high score on vocal capability, the song's originality etc. Moldova was the typical televote favourite (and I loved it being after all those slow ballads), but it is simply not a song that should score highly on the jury score. So in this case, I thought the amazingly high televote of 239 was absolutely deserved, but so was the low jury score of 14. Great result to finish in the top 10!

In Romania , we gave 12 points for Moldova but they cancelled our votes they didn't allowed live transmition saying are technical issues and they replaced our votes giving them to Ukraine instead!

Yes as EBU had evidence of vote rigging between those 6 juries (including Romania), so replaced the jury votes with votes from "equivalent" regions [no idea how EBU define that but there we are]. To be honest Moldova is not a song that should be scoring high with any jury...its a fun jolly televote song (I liked it!), but it doesn't tick the boxes for a jury vote winner

I just love Spain (my country btw) and UK, both always being the worst at Eurovision, but topping the table this year and breaking records in their respective countries. So sad that none of them won, but their positions will definitely help future English and Spanish (and even international) entries to become better and better til winning this contest :)

The best entry including for a jury is yours. The national jury have local taste in music also this is why the vote from the juries countries around europe it is not the same. When one nation is in two countries, the national taste in music speak including in jury vote and it is normal. San Marino jury vote was replaced just like Romania, Poland, etc. jury vote was. 6 juries countries was replaced. In Romania we gave 12 points from the jury and 12 points from the public to our sister Moldova. After they replaced the jury vote with another, Moldova end up with 0 points from Romania jury. Really ?! It was like our jury gave 0 points to our own national folklore ! Moldova song is folklore and rock'n roll . The singers are a rock band and a folkloric band. The song barely contain any sort of lyrics in the end part and the bridge is not something pleasing for most people except for EDM/ethnic-contemporary listener. Plus, it's not necessarily a difficult song to sing and juries preferred vocally challenging song
