The Rapid Dragon launches up to 9 palletized LRSMS from a C-17 or C-130 at one time instead of only 2 from an F-18. Using cargo airplanes to launch LRSM swarms is a big force multiplier in both land attack and surface warfare. Tests confirmed the concept in January 2022.

@@Gigachadent A Single CWIS has around 2500 rounds of ammo and a rate of fire of ca. 60 Rounds per second. A C-17 can carry 45 LRASM/JASSM. If you do the math (2500/45=55) it shows that you can only use 55 rounds per Missile before you need to reload wich leaves no room for missing also it has to be reloaded manually wich is very dangerous during a battle. If you have two CWIS like the Burke class the you have better chances as long as only one C-17 drops rapid dragon. The best defence you could have is what the German Bundesmarine(Federal Navy) is doing and mount cannons that use FAPDS or AHEAD ammunition like the Mantis system.

1:22 The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Chances are high the one ukrainian missile for example was detected as a dot on the rader. And had the Operator been at 100% easily been neutralized. But sovjet design never was optimised for user experience. And that is importans as fatigue makes all Radar etc useless otherwise. So many missiles van either be better as they overwhelm the enemy, or worse as they alert the enemy sooner so he van start countermeasures.

There have been multiple times where sea skimming missiles have slid past the enemy, some not even going to general quarters before the explosion. That’s the point of sea skimming ASCMs. And this happened to the ship in the video, the Moskva, in 2022, with 2 sea skimming missiles (neptunes though) and the Moskva didn’t even have time to respond, wasn’t even in battle readiness. If you design the tech and deploy it well enough, it truly is *that* easy. Even Chinese defense scientists said the LRASM stands to “change the game rules”, it’s very capable.

Amazing !!! I remember using a flight Sim in the 1990s flying a Raptor and using LRASM and MRASM missiles. If they work they are a fantastic weapon !!! It seems we are on a runaway train to WW3 and we will need every smart weapon we can get to beat Russia, China and North Korea combined !!!!

"The missile knows where it is at all times... It knows where it id because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it isn't from where it is, or where it is from where it isn't, whichever is greater, it obtain a different, also known as deviation.
It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error."
