If you have a mobility scooter that doesn't turn on, it might be the ignition. To test an ignition, you can perform a continiuty test with a multi meter. This is the quickest way to determine if your ignition needs to be replaced. You can also check to see if the 2 wires that connect to the ignition are detached in any way. Ignitions are very simple, they either close a circuit (when the key is in the "on" position) or they can open a circuit (when the key is in the "off" position).

I found out by accident that if I am in a large flat area that my jazzy select 14 has a fun option.
Unlock one of the freewheel levers. Push the joystick forward or backward slightly. Instant spin.
I do have the heavy duty wheels.
My joystick control board got rain water in it and both batteries are dead now. So I am back to canes and walkers. No more fun spins.
Warning. It will spin so fast it can throw you off the chair.
