During the celebrations, he pauses, just for a moment, to shed a single tear, for the sorrow, and neglect he has endured, all these years, after being FORGOTTEN by ALL 3 of his Fathers, who, rumour has it, abandonned him for locking wooden doors, a very nice blueberry garden plot, and an inside log cart.

@LittleDrowskie Cannibals do actually have a route through there going along the coastline and cutting through the cliffs they built under, and showing up at the right side door of their base, the route is farther away from their base, so they might not get much attention, but with the bonfire the radius of detection grows, and the cannibal route can then see them. No where is safe in this game, unless you are on one of the outskirts islands.

You’re supposed to chop down the stumps as well. The natives don’t like seeing the trees being chopped down and will become more hostile over time. Also, it’s too late now, but if you don’t fight the natives then they will be less aggressive. If you just use a stick and defend their attacks, eventually you can walk among them with minimal conflict, if any.
Seams like a good set up for an alternate ending for the game actually. I THINK there’s only one though.

1) The angle where you are chopping has nothing affect on the trees at all, the tree has certain amount of "hp", you deal the same amount of damage every swing at all time(with the same axe)
2) The red paint is used to make natives not see you as a threat, they even praise you if you keep the distance.

Mark has hearted comments, so that disproves your 'Markiplier has never given a single comment a single heart.' statement and avoiding comments to not get a game spoilt for you doesn't equal 'not even caring about his comments'. 2. He's said multiple times that he doesn't want tips unless he directly asks for them, so I don't understand why people still try to give him tips, and then act hurt when he doesn't read them. These videos are from 3 Peens streams, and even there, people constantly backseat game and tell all 3 of them what to do and how to do it, and all 3 of them have to repeatedly tell people not to do that. It's frustrating and annoying to see how many people aren't able to respect that other people might want to play a game in their own way while getting upset over Mark, Bob and Wade ignoring the comments and the chat while playing because of that.
