The 35CL will not disappoint with its Above Average Reception on both Bands. No Speaker, and Whip Antenna for Obvious Reasons. The Clear Enclosure to Show if anything was Added, or Removed. Clear Case to show Off Insides.
Easy to Read Dial.
Hinged Battery Cover.
Features that could be Added or Improved on:
Fix Tuner Backlash Issue. I think it is a QC problem over at Sangean. My Original SR-35 is Fine.
Include Headphones with better Bass Response.
Overall, if this is your only choice at the "Store" then its a Decent Pickup. If they sell the digital models for not much more, then go for those. For Collectors, the Price is Low enough to be Fun.

Love it! Always reminds me of the tech gadgets of the 90s that came in see-through plastic cases. Even Nintendo used that for their color-variations of their Game Boy Series in the mid 90s. I'd almost want to get one of these and build a loudspeaker into it that has a clear plastic membrane. x3 Sound would not be all that good but what the heck. It would sure look interesting.
I'm very happy with my original SR-35. I think the quality is a little bit better than the Sony p26 I had. The clear one here is very interesting and might be worthy to be in my collection.
Hej I agree the Sangean SR-35 have much better audio then the Sony P26 and the newer sony P27 but the Sony P 26 and the P 27 are also nice pocket radios but yes I personally think the Sangean SR-35 is a better pocket radio take care and have a nice day.

He Todderbert thanks for the review of the Sangean SR 35 CL cool radio yes love my sangean SR 35 radios I just bought one more Sangean SR-35 because I like this pocket radio so much. So i have three now in my radio collection but i prefer to have a speaker in a pocket radio but maybe i buy this one also just for the cool factor take care Todderbert and have a very nice weekend.
See-thru is the way to go with radios 📻. This doesn’t look 👀 like 👍 a kit, but an already built radio 📻. I’ve heard of Sangean for the last couple of years, which I think 🤔 is a good 😊 brand. Grundig is another great 😌 brand. Your friend, Jeff.
Moral of the story, if you want stereo don't get your butt put in prison, it's really not that difficult.
Sangean has SR-32 Pocket 320 which is already MONO. I wonder why they didn't go with that? But yeah, i would switch cases with the SR-35 just for the cool factor.
May not have speaker because speaker magnet could jam electric locks. Whip antenna could be used like weapon. Another great clear Sangean radio was the DT-110.
I wonder if you could add a speaker to this. The 'phones amp is usually the same chip, so unless they made a new PCB it'd have the pads for it.
most likely, though if you want a FM antenna, it will require some work.
I almost got the clear version of the Sangean WR-2 over 10 years ago but got the WR-3 instead. I don't know anyone else with a WR-3 so they didn't sell that well I guess. I use mine every day as my computer sound system.

This Radio looks suspiciously like the Roberts Sports 925 (; probably made at the same factory wonder how easy it is to fit the antenna and speaker ?
In a way, this is like 👍 a Prison-Tech radio 📻. All their electronics stuff is clear, to deter prisoners from hiding 🙈 contraband inside. Again, Your friend, Jeff.
Does the green LED tuning light illuminate the case in the dark so you can see the tuning dial?
It can, once you have your night vision.
Holes are for air flow ~~ Maybe ??
These 90 day warranties make me laugh. In the UK EVERYTHING is 12 months minimum.
