Agreed with this video. The anime is good, but story in Manga overall was just significantly better in pretty much every way. Not only that and it's awesome art choice, it doesn't contain the usual cliche teenage/high school student tropes, or team setup that we see and get tired of in the other 90% of other anime and manga. In fact, the high school aspect takes a far back seat, and the whole team is a group of alien kicking badasses with a good dynamic.
The manga is a Seinen. That’s why the teenage trope takes a back seat. While Seinen is mainly a demographic of manga that targets adult men, it has tropes that also separates it from most manga types. The typical teenage boy trope is mostly used in Shonen. As Shonen manga and anime mainly target young teenage boys (12-18). And Seinen, while sometimes uses that trope, mostly goes with more deeper and more drastic tones that is considered too much for Shonen.
Another thing to add is in season 2 they cut a lot of parts leading to the battle ofr newyork such seven destroying the golden fortress on his own, as well as killing one of the aliens who used his twin brothers body as a skin suit which pissed him off.
Aw man what a shame they would do changes like this for an adaptation I would think we were past that era for anime. but I guess some changes do hype up the drama of fights, like you wouldn't know if Shinjiro's dad will die or not when he has a stab through with a full on arm until we get to know how much these ultraman hybrids can survive. Also what a shame we don't get red king, I actually know that kaiju through osmosis despite only fully watching a couple Ultraman series in the Heisei era.
@@evangodzilla Even My Hero Academia's getting that treatment suddenly in the latest season, maybe its a way to side step manga readers and keep them hooked? Half the time it made me think they cut out certain battles instead which ticked me off cause its still a possibility.
Honestly I'm glad anime got made... since it definitely made a decent introduction to the ultra suit but the manga is definitely more fleshing out the world of ultra suits & more dynamic character building... still, I can see where the animators were going & the limited due to budge... still I like both anime & manga since they both do have the passion of it history & doing it damnest to win me over with the ultramem suits...
I love the new Ultraman anime but the Ultraman designs in this era is doing too much in my opinion. Looks like Raiden from Metal Gear Solid Revengence. Manga suits look better
if I were to finish watching season 1 and go to chapter 9 of the manga would I have a much different experience or would it be relatively the same except with some new characters?
It would be much different. Red King and Jack play a bigger role, the black market subplot that was dropped connects into the villain motives, and since things like flying or teleporting suits comes much later in the manga compared to the anime, you might think, "why don't they just do this?" and it would be because in the manga they can't yet.
Can someone educate me about Ultraman? I grew up with Kamen Rider so I never got into Ultraman. I’m not a big monster fight fan like Gundam and Transformers them but I want to get into it. Ultraman have always been by my sight but I never watch it. Thanks in advance
So, I just watched season 3, and... I have NO FREAKING idea who or what Bemular was supposed to be. They built him up since the very first episode to be this badass, mysterious being, and then he did nothing and revealed nothing, and... died? Not even sure about that. I mean... how the heck can a writer do that? Did I miss something? Does the manga explain who the hell he is?
A little late to the party here but I'll throw this in as well, the anime fabricates a hatred for ultraman in rena and her dad which is nowhere to be seen in the manga, where they are both just fans, and her father being a fan of the giant of light ultraman and his distaste for shinjiros ultraman comes from the fact he had seen the original. I felt that was also a pretty big change that was worth mentioning
the anime makes the fighting action better and longer, while the manga has a better plot and story telling, the action is unbalance. Some plot are dragging, like with Ultragirl
I've always felt that Marie's reveal was a character pivot that came out of nowhere, as she was likely originally just supposed to provide a civilian's perspective on the Ultras as well as a direct outsider interaction with Shinjiro. The build up to her origin was at least developed well enough when it suddenly began, but her connection to Bemular just feels tacked on to rush the Marie introduction honestly.
@@ardius9777 nice observation. I agree and I also felt like her plot is too slow burn, and I'm glad they didn't adapt this into the anime. I also want the mangaka to highlight other Ultra more especially Ace
SPOILER WARNING!!! Manga: Who is Bemular? Tune in to find out! Anime: HE IS ULTRAMAN! HE IS ULTRAMAN! HE IS ULTRAMAN! Oh wait, i mean I wonder who he is…
I still love Bemular's initial manga design. It really pays homage to the original live action monster design.

Meanwhile the anime wants Shinjiro to get romance fast lol

Red king is most favorite Kaiju but anime deleted him out
Yea they messed up bad getting rid of him.
I love his image disguise. Makes him into an accidental chuuni.
We can hope for season 3
Moment he was left out I knew they were gonna cut/edit future stuff. Which is true with it only getting 3 seasons while manga is still going.
I definitely will read manga from first chapter with such this difrencess
I've seen season 2 there isn't even any comparison but characters used its so diffrent
I have a video hopefully coming out today. It's definitely harder, but I found some comparisons.
Another thing to add is in season 2 they cut a lot of parts leading to the battle ofr newyork such seven destroying the golden fortress on his own, as well as killing one of the aliens who used his twin brothers body as a skin suit which pissed him off.
I have a season 2 video as well :)
*Fun Fact : Ace Killer In The Anime Has The Same Like Voice Of Moroboshi And Has The Same Like Voice Effect Of Bemular*
Been collecting the manga lately after watching the whole anime to see the differences. It’s really good 👍🏻
Bemular is my favourite character
Dope! I have part 2 coming out tomorrow!

thank you for you!
Thanks for supporting!
Would you still recommend the manga for someone who finished the anime series? Id kinda be re-reading the same story
You would be reading an entirely different story after season 1 actually lol
Doesn’t Bemular’s design change a bit in the manga? Cuz he seems to look more like his anime design after his battle with Shinjiro.
Yea, I mention that in the video when discussing how he stabs Hayata.
@@evangodzilla Ok. I didn’t see it. Cuz Bemular in the manga got his body reworked like in the anime.
@@Shadowrulzalways yea, the thumbnail image is when he gets damaged lol
some how shinjiro forgot rena knew his identity in season 3

Ultraman Nexus is always a recommendation.

Yes actually. Much, much later on, he gets a proper, irrefutable reveal

Bemular's change between the Manga and Anime's design makes it so obvious who he is for everyone😑
The manga changes it after the first fight too though, so at least it's not a super big change.
Good vid! Now imma read the manga
Ty, the manga is great!
