Keith Lee was doing the most. I think he overestimated his pull and popularity. TikTok is one thing, but this is the BET Awards. It was embarrassing but not even that deep.
Keith hasn't lost anything. Taraji is the one that has to audition for roles. I think you all overestimate the impact of commenters on blogs. The BET awards is no where near prestigious. Taraji can't make or break a business with her commentary like Keith can.

There's a CZcamsr who flew to Toronto just to rap the song out loud while walking through the streets. No one gave him a hard time no one tried to fight him half of them knew the song some of them joined along. There was also an anime convention in Toronto and they play the song and all the people were dancing to it. So I don't think it was the song I believe people just don't like Rick Ross.

Keith filmed himself throwing the rose on the ground, then deleted the post. I was annoyed that he decided to do that. All I know about him is what’s hit the blogs because I don’t care about food reviewing, and I doubt Taraji does either. He made himself look arrogant and entitled and this is why these award show executives need to reevaluate the guest lists. We’re never going to get back to the glory days of A list celebrities attending if they continue to invite influencers who think they’re on the same level. Taraji is on a first name basis with Hollywood’s elite, she wouldn’t necessarily know all of the Tik Tockers and he needs to get over himself.

My issue with Keith Lee is he has always been vocal about being treated like a “regular person” and not wanting special treatment and now he’s sitting at the bet awards. I understand being excited and taking certain opportunities but a lot of people are questioning why he was even there.

I didnt understand the Keith Lee hype initially and for the reasons that you and others in the comments have stated but when I actually watched his content, I couldn't not give him his props, although there is still a disconnect, for whatever reason. His goal is to showcase and elevate small businesses and that's what he does 🤷🏽♀️...he didn't come to us to showcase his personality nor to make us like him. And once I understood that, I was able to appreciate his content and mission with what it is he does.
With that said, what happened at the BET awards was unfortunate and I don't really get why people are more mad at Keith than they are at production and TPH. From what I've read and can remember from watching is that Keith was originally seated somewhere completely different early on in the show...he was up close but he wasn't super close to the front row. He said in his video that production made him move seats (which slightly coincides with what TPH said)...if production moved him then it's not his fault that he was not directed to the correct spot for the bit that THEY PLANNED. In TPH's post she made it sound as if he, himself, decided not to sit in the correct seat.
When it comes to TPH's performance; I'm confused as to how anyone could read what she said and agree with her stance. She said that she "hit her mark" and "the young man wasn't in his seat" yet, opened up her monolog by addressing "Keith Lee" as "the Method Man look-a-like" 😂...that's not who Keith Lee is known as, and that segment of her performance was supposedly intended for Keith, but she obviously had no idea who Keith Lee was nor what he looks like so, A) she didn't do enough research on Keith or Justin (Methodman) before the show, and, B.) production didn't do their jobs with making sure that these men were placed in the correct seats beforehand. The ones who hold no fault are Justin and Keith. Keith isn't wrong for how he feels. We cannot disrespect people (intentionally or unintentionally) and then attempt to dictate how they should feel about their own perceived disrespect. We also should hold TPH accountable for not doing her homework...Justin and Keith look nothing alike, not even close. She opened up that monolog referring to "Keith Lee" as "the Method Man look-a-like" which is not who he is known to be. The two men don't even look similar so she did not know who either man was and I also feel it's possible that production had pictures and scripts messed up and maybe they didn't know much about those men either . Keith made a separate video dropping the rose and quickly deleted it so obviously he was advised to delete it or came to his own senses to do so.

I like ole boy but Keith Lee definitely threw a temper tantrum and it’s very disappointing. It just wasn’t that deep and it does come off hypocritical and entitled. Tarajj made a mistake and he himself admitted he was in a different seat than he originally was. Plus he’s not above making a similar mistake, so it would behoove him to have some grace in situations like this where there evidence of ill intent. I’m sure he wants to leverage his popularity for maybe a show or some type of national exposure so it’s possible that why making those moves he could slip up and un-intentionally offend someone. Would he be happy if they responded like he did?
