Seems this is what we get when a EU conglomerate takes over the US truck brands, overpriced trucks that no one asked for.
It was not enough dealing with $75K-$100K+ (don't get me started with the dealer markups) trucks from last two year models with no update/upgrades whatsoever now Ram seems to think its ok to charge $60K on the low trim model and move its way to +$90K for over a $2K-$5K Adaptive cruise control and some park sensors packages now standard? Am I missing something here? did these trucks came with magnetic ride control, Ceramic Brakes, rear wheel steering, Electric Adjusted rear spoilers, self cleaning underbody facing cameras and headlights, Integrated Vacuum cleaner, Gold plated instrument Cluster? Yeah I don't see these Ram "lux" trucks as best sellers for the long run.
Aside from the hilarious pricing I guess my biggest gripe with Ram is the fact they never bother to update or bring new V8 engines either the Magnum or HEMI, all we got was a tiny 3L Turbo I6, yes Stellantis can brag about the power numbers all they want but the fact of the matter is not many of us like unreliable tiny turbo engines specially on big trucks meant to be use for work and Off-Road. God knows how long that tiny engine will last with that much output on such a big vehicle, from what I saw from Ford with their Eco boost engine failures across the board seems the Hurricane is destined for the same fate.

I think the Tradesman interior is nice. Since it is unique to the trim, it has no button blanks or missing parts. A purposeful design is always a good thing. Honestly, it doesn't look much different from an F-150 XLT interior of just a few years ago. Too bad you're limited to the Pentastar (decent engine, but some Tradesman buyers might need more).

For daily driving the added torque way down low makes for a very pleasant driving experience. I learned that with my F150 3.5eb. I absolutely love my 2020 RAM 1500. However, I still believe the GM trucks have a better handling dynamic than RAM does. Much more agile and solid road feel. RAM still has a far better ride quality and smoothness, even though it is a bit more wishy-washy in steering than the GMs. You can find a lot of banter on the sway bars for RAMs in RAM forums. I upgrade the rear sway bar in mine, and that helped a little, but still didn't quite match the GM stability in steering.

Two big issues. They needed jeeps 4xE system with this 3.0. Plain and simple a phev with a focus on the gas is what was needed here, not an ev with a range extender. Giving the 420hp an 50-100hp electric motor and even more torque and a battery good for 25-30 miles would of been all this needed to actually bring the ram ahead of the powerboost and iforce max.
The other is not having the full time 4x4 system available as an option for lower trim trucks. Personally I'd want that system over everything else, but with the low output 3.0t in a mid spec trim. I like it in my grand cherokee a lot and I'd love a truck with it, but I'm not taking out a second mortgage for a truck.
Also ram should bite the bullet on the 1500 and make the rear suspension independent. These trucks aren't used for work anyways, why keep hampering themselves with a solid axle? The wagoneer can tow 10,000lbs and has a payload comparable.
