THIS video sets the new gold standard for Traverse reviews! All models, all nuances, so much easier to understand and see than the Chevy brand pages. Most important to me and my family, he demonstrated at 6’5”, sitting in each position, a first for all the YT videos and the key ingredient I was missing since the New York Auto Show had these behind the ropes. I’m going to wait until next year to pull the trigger, but this is now top of my list to replace my 2012 Suburban. Nicely done!

Dave, a very good job on the different models, good explanation on them,I am not a 4 banger turbo guy, but you going threw the standard equipment on these vehicles is quite impressive what a customer will get if he chooses the base model, keep up the excellent podcasts.😎
Be thankful you can even get them, GM won't even lets us build one/order one yet. Just recently got a Z06.
I’d take the Z71 hands down. In my opinion it’s the best looking of all the trims. Dave I’d love to see a video on the benefits of leasing a vehicle over financing if one of your co-workers in the finance department has time to sit down with you and discuss it.
so many people never know about the car seat feature in the 2nd row tilt and slide.... huge feature for many that's never talked about...nice job
Except with most forward facing car seats if not all you will have to unlatch the seatbelt to get in…. Unless that gives you enough slack… so the would be a pain

Absolutely Amazing well thought out video! Great Job; learned so much. One question i have is; if you buy an LT with midnight package could you put those 22 inch blacked out wheels on the LT instead of the 20’s? (Is that an option or even possible)? Ty in advance!
It looks like GM offers a 22" black accessory wheel that could be added through the parts department. Different style than the RS though
Only thing I didn't hear you mention is that Z71 has more ground clearance (7.8") than other models (6.8"). Great breakdown of the trims!
I love the sterling grey metallic. With black trim wheels ect looks sick . I wanna get the 25 equinox
Great video Dave. You explain things very well. We have a 2020 High Country Traverse and I would like to up grade to the RS model. My wife loves her V6. How does the new turbo compare to her V6? Once again a great video.
On paper the Turbo4 out performs the V6... Hits peak torque at lower rpm. I think if you are happy with the V6 you'd be happy with the turbo

Great video explaining everything. Sometimes it’s hard to see what’s different between them. That Z71 is lookin good to me. But can you get the BOSE system without getting the super cruise??
No.. the Bose is part of the enhanced driving package so you'd have to spend to get the super cruise if you want Bose

Thanks for a great review. I am torn between getting the Traverse RS or GMC Denali. The main thing for me is how quite are they. Does the Traverse have acoustic glass? Have you been in a Denali and how do they compare?

Great car... they give you a lot for the money. My only complaint is why didn't they put the rear wiper under the spoiler? I understand it costs extra but maybe on the Z71 & RS?
It does clean up the back end nicely when that wiper is hidden... not to mention no snow/ice build up
My RS is only for me but I did have 4 full size adults front and back and everyone was comfortable. I didn’t have to raise my front seat up and the back passengers didn’t wanna get out because they loved that roof with that view.
Piano black scratches by just looking at it. They did a really good job on the rest of the vehicle
Yea, I agree.. it's funny I have been leaving all the little piano black storage doors open so no one accidently scratches them on test drives
I have a lot of piano black in my BMW X7 and have no scratches. Maybe they finished it differently?

I hate that they got rid of the premier/high country. I like a good luxury trim, especially with a lighter color or brown interior colors. They probably believe buyers would go to the GMC Acadia though. I love the new dash display, the LS seems well equipped for the price.

Whenever I see power folding 3rd row seats, I just remember the annoyance of a malfunctioning 3rd row power seat in a new gen GLS 63AMG making a family trip. So, does it have a manual mode too? How do you activate it here? Does it have a full size spare? Greetings Dave :)
Great question on the seat... I have to research in there is a manual mode. Vehicle comes with a compact spare, not full size

I noticed Chevy USA has a lease deal for the traverse LT but its at participating dealers I am wondering if your place is participating/ This is a serious question because im looking get a lease but having a hard time finding any dealer offering the deal and im willing to fly across the country

GM vehicles are one of the best in comfort and safety. Excellent family vehicle.Owned 2015 Traverse and had zero issues in 6 years except for headlights and breaks. Change oil religiously and they will go forever.

They’re both great SUVs why would you like if you need more room this is probably the one to go with, but why would you like they’re both very good by whatever trim you like to that simple.
Honda 6 cylinder is the way I’d go.

$1000 EXTRA for what is essentially a VINYL (aka fake leather) interior! What are they thinking?!
Not with a 4 cylinder. Turbo says the engine too small. Only 4 cylinders, as it wears the power will be reduced. Turbo over pressurizes the little 4 cylinder to make seem like a bigger engine. GM just lost this customer.

You got to love car companies arrogance. They charge us more for vinyl seat. Get the cloth. Vinyl is bad for environment and gets sticky and smelly in summer and cold in winter. Leather breathes.
So, no home link except on the RS, No Bose speakers unless you order SuperCruise, and you have to pay a subscription to use google maps?? HAHAHAHAHA this is unreal.

Pass...that little 4 cylinder engine is a joke for its size. It just means the engine has to work twice just as hard to get it moving. The V6 is the proper engine for these midsize suv. Itll just wear out thag little motor faster because it is working a lot harder for the same performance as the V6. I guaranteed you carbon build-up and cooked oil will be problmenatic in the long run for that little motor. That little turbo will be the first part that goes out and a very costly parts to reolace. This is a wannabe truck, but its not a real truck. If i wanted a truck I'd go and get me a full size truck for its intended purpose. The proper slogan for these newer traverse should be,"I think I can...I think I can. Eff it, I can't and parts break down because it clearly isnt built for it."

Sleazy salesman won’t tell you that the miserable 2.7 liter engine in the GM trucks, is at least used in rear wheel longitudinal setup. Stay away.
Miserable engine for a vehicle of that size. Stay away and get a Pilot or Telluride with a V6. At least with Highlander our get a hybrid version. Sad sad GM.
