  • Let's take a quick look at a rather interesting product; a standalone USB duplicator. Use it to clone USB flash drives, SD cards - full duplicates or just copying data. This thing will dupe 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 copies.
    Does it work? How fast is it? We will find out together.
    While this model is no longer available, I found one that looks on feature parity.

    Wow that little gadget is cool, I'd like to get a similar one where you can plug the sd card right into the A port but ucb-c rather than micro usb, I'm sure they have them. Love gadgets like that too.

    Just bought one. It is still slow, but does the job. Just start it and sit it in the corner and continue with your other projects.

    Very nice, thoughtful review! Will it handle larger files (like videos) that are larger than 4GB on a SD using the EX-FAT file partitions?

    • @Darkuni
      @Darkuni  Před rokem +1

      I haven't seen anything it doesn't handle. But I've never tried that EXACT use case.

      @@Darkuni Wow, super-quick response! Seems as though the $500+ duplicators boast being able to handle exFAT but are all crickets on the $100-200 affordable boxes and the sparse/negative reviews make it a bit risky. I was hopeful for the EZ Dupe $200+ duplicator but also couldn''t find exFAT successes. For videographers shooting 4K resolution for 10 minute files, it seems better to just have your laptop like the ASUS L210 for $200 using the SD port along with a USB SD card reader czcams.com/video/m-aRPpiNxDA/video.html

    The question is can you create an image of your raspberrypi sdcard and flash it to a usb drive to have raspberrypi boot from it instead of sdcard

    • @Darkuni
      @Darkuni  Před 2 lety

      I've never tried this. But don't you have to set something up on the Pi to get it to boot from USB?

  • @letsgetto1millwithoutvids

    Can we make one of these with a raspberry pi or an Arduino because these things are expensive like around $100 and the technology is not worth the price

    • @Darkuni
      @Darkuni  Před 2 lety

      I honestly don't know. They are expensive because they are niche. If everyone needed one and dozens of companies made them? They would be cheaper. But these seem to be made by one or two small companies ...
