Our kit came with all the hardware you’ll need to install it properly. You may, however, have to purchase extra hardware - such as extra-long hinge bolts. These are necessary in cases in which you are installing the frame in fence posts that are wider than normal - i.e. those measuring 6” or 8” in width. In some kits, you’ll find, as we did, that these hinge bolts are actually longer than necessary. After installation, you can simply use your hacksaw to remove the extra length.
Since the problem of sagging gates is rather common, you will find many gate companies offering similar products. Some use a combination of heavy-gauge wire and a metal frame.
You might also want to consider the weight of the gate and the problems weight can cause. The product we installed came complete with a stop plate. This prevents the gate from swinging out into the driveway and damaging a car. A more important concern, however, is young children. You might want to consider fitting your gate with gate stops to avoid hurting little fingers.

Thank you for a great film, I wanted just to adjust our gate a bit by adding new peaces of wood, but what is shown in the film is much better project. I'll definitely follow the method shown.
I have metal poles on our fence. Can I attach the frame of the gate to 2X4" piece instead of 4X4", means to the 2" wide plane, not to 4" wide, or it will be not enough support to keep the gate safe?
Of course I can attach posts 4x4 in and cut out areas where the metal posts braces are attached to the wood, but it would be easier to use 2x4. Probably it is not a good idea, since in all the films I saw the gate is surrounded by those thick posts 4"x4"x6', and not by 2'x4"x6' (what we currently have in the model of our gate). I would appreciate any opinions on this matter.
Nice , but wouldn't you turn the top hinge pin to face downwards and the the bottom hinge pin to face upwards- then tighten the bolts in plce? Doing it this way assures you that no one can easily remove the gat and run away with it.!
What would be a good tile to use outside that is not slippery?
The hinge is just part of the issue. The door frame and the post are the main issue. Square the door frame, study and plumb the posts will do it.
Hi Angelina, your video is great. However Adjust A Gate does not come with long hinge bolts anymore. It comes with very short ones so the bolts don't go thru the 4*4. Can you comment.
Well not if you live in Florida. I don't know about anywhere else but this was what I bought and everything including the mounting bolts rusted out. The gate sagged and it is as useless as any other hinge

Adjust a gate. You can get it at home depot or Lowes in case your still looking for it.

Wouldn't it be better to drop the top hinge downwards in fitting gates to prevent the theft as so many are stolen as the thief's can just lift them off!..

With that 4x4 as the post, you're going to sag again. You need a metal post or something beefier than that.
