I lived in Esperance for a short while and LOVED this city. This video captures the beauty of the area really well. Thanks for posting. It brings back great memories. When did the peer get washed out?
Don’t go into the water then,I have used a kayak down here and in the last 10 years have only seen one great white,it came right alongside my kayak for a look then disappeared, the fatal attacks were on surfers and a diver.
It's got beaches and that's it, lived there for a few years. The town has nothing in it with another shop closing every month due to high rent. Also has a major problem with crime and meth. Good place for tourists but I would not recommend moving there

It's not big enough to be a city, and the peir got totalled in a storm in 2017. There's a new on in its place now

For some reason I thought Esperance was a bit of a shanty town with a port. I now see it's far from it!
