- Denmark is a small friendly town located in the Great Southern region in the state of Western Australia. Denmark, Western Australia, in addition to its abundance of natural beauty (think rugged coastline, white sandy beaches, tall trees) is also home to award winning wineries, artists of all kinds, and many popular festivals. This short film showcases only a small part of what Denmark has to offer, let alone the rest of the Great Southern region.

Locations/timestamps/maps:
00:00 Ocean Beach
Just a few kilometers from Denmark town, Ocean Beach is popular for surfing, swimming, and sandcastles.

01:11 Mount Lindesay
Mt Lindesay is a 23km drive from Denmark town along scenic sealed and unsealed roads. Mt Lindesay itself sits 385 metres above sea level and the summit is reached by a 10km return walk and is classed as moderately difficult with some steep sections. You should allow approximately 3-4 hours for the return walk and make sure you follow all safe bushwalking practices such as taking plenty of drinking water, sun protection, tell people where you're going and what time you expect to be back, walk in a least a group of three people, etc. ( read more about safety here: parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/know/safety )

03:34 Lights Beach
A few kilometers from Denmark town, Lights Beach is actually several beaches. The sealed roads from Denmark end in a carpark with a lookout and there is also a paved path leading to some wooden steps to get down to the longer stretch of beach which is also an authorized dog walking area. Both the Bibbulmun Track (walking trail) and the Munda Biddi Trail (off-road cycling trail) are accessible from Lights Beach.

05:12 Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool
Approximately 18km from Denmark along sealed roads is William Bay National Park that among other attractions features Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool. Greens Pool is famous for calm turquoise and green water and white sandy beach and is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing. Elephant Rocks is named after the giant granite boulders that some say resemble a herd of elephants walking out to sea. Also popular for swimming and snorkeling, there can be strong currents that run through the cove so care should be taken.

Great Southern Ocean Safety
You should take care when visiting the Great Southern coast, unexpected large waves and strong currents can be dangerous. Be careful when walking next to the ocean, fishing off rocks, etc. as people have died on this stretch of coastline. You should always obey the official signage at each location and ask at one of the local visitor centers about safety before heading out.

Stunning. Denmark is so beautiful. I hope I can get there September ‘21, mask free! Thanks for making it Jason.
Thanks Suzanne, my pleasure :)
Wow.
I rather enjoyed that.
From the filming to editing a proffesional feel throughout great job.
Some beautiful places there.
Inspired to do one for comparison of UK once my legs work well.
Thanks Joe - hope you get better soon! :)
Stunning
Thanks so much!! :)
Great job beautiful place , can't believe I live 6 hrs away and never been there
You should definitely go there, the whole coastline is beautiful :)
WOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! JASON THAT IS INSANELY AMAZING 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 how did you do that 😮😮😮😮😁
Thanks Leila!!! Just a lot of hard work and time :)
Still my favourite.
Thanks :)
These beaches look awesome! What camera and drone do you use? These shots are so professional looking! 😍😍😍
Thanks Megan! :) I use a Canon 6D Mark II with a 16-35mm lens and a Mavic 2 Pro
Jason Roberts thanks! Haha I guess it makes sense. Professional cameras give professional quality 😂
Yeah - the funny thing is there's always something newer/better/more expensive that you think will make your videos/photos better but sometimes learning and practicing with what you've got can get great results - like I'd love to get maybe a Canon R mirrorless but there's still a lot I can do with the 6D!!
Jason Roberts I’ve heard great things about the eos r! The specs look great too!!
For sure and the new lenses are supposed to be amazing and super sharp - the only thing I don't like about the specs is the big 4K video crop/zoom factor - there might be some new mirrorless models coming out later this year or early next year - looking forward to seeing what Canon has up their sleeves!! :)
I'm heading there now
Enjoy!! - it's a beautiful area the whole south coast there! :)
Aren't there any close town? I want a house on the shore 👌🌴
Haha - that would be nice!!!!
Those beaches look a bit crowded.
Haha - I know right, can't even move!!!! :)
@@JasonRobertsVideo once its famous , then it will became massive crowded
