- After heavy snowfall in Switzerland, a train driver's view of the journey between Grindelwald and Interlaken villages is presented here in 4K 60fps uhd resolution. Boarded on the Bernese Oberland Bahn (BOB) Railway, we pass through Snow covered Schwendi, Burglauenen, Lütschental, Zweilütschinen and Wilderswil villages. Enjoy this soothing journey in the winter season..... :)
Berner Oberland Railway operates narrow gauge trains which use a cog wheel on the steep slopes between Interlaken (asl 567 m / 1860 ft) and Grindelwald (1034 m / 3392 ft). Undoubtedly, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valleys of Schwarze Lütschine and Weisse Lütschine rivers, respectively, are the two most visited valleys by the worldwide tourists in Switzerland.

The visual is stunning but I wonder if there's any way to smooth out the abrasive sound of the tracks. Though I'm not an audio geek I know that different mics pick up things differently and there are adjustments that can be made.

This definitely takes me back ... 42 years I was on this train/route when on school trip as a 17 year old. We spent 10 days there based in Interlaken.. loved it... beautiful country.

Switzerland is true eye-candy land.
Beautiful in summer; I had the opportunity to hike in the mountains (in the height of summer) in an area not too far from Mont Blanc, and then descend down to the gorgeous small towns/villages. And breathtaking in the winter snowfall.
When you're there, you are reminded of your real position in the grand scheme of things; awe inspiring.
This put me into the feeling of this day . Christmas 2023 ,

My first holiday outside of the UK was a camping trip to Interlaken. We made many trips to local tourist attractions by train from Interlaken, including to Grindelwald, so this video brought back so many fond memories.
