      @@watsonhall9170 The train we travelled on had two Engines and a total of Twelve Carriages. During the summer it's longer due to greater demand. Although I was told that it's a lot hotter on the train. The train leaves Vancouver at 15.00hrs so you don't see any scenery properly until next morning. So you miss seeing Hells Gate etc. But it is still fantastic. We are already planning a return trip from Toronto to Vancouver. We liked the Winter Scenery.

    • @coldblue9mm
      @coldblue9mm Před rokem +3

      I've ran Air Jordan's and the more modern hydraulic Jordans. The air ones are faster as you can adjust the wings on the fly. You do that with the hydraulic one, you're risking bending the ram like a pretzel. BUT they have more reach than the old air ones do. It's a trade off.

    • @coldblue9mm
      @coldblue9mm Před rokem +1

      @@coquitlam_railfan5686 I have a dumb question, but here it is. Why does the CP use those wedge plows out in front of the Jordans? Our Jordans have the taller noses on them, that you can leave "V"ed or shear to transfer. Plus they are notched to cut below the top of the rail. Not sure what the wedge plows do or are needed for. Appreciate whatever you can pass on.
