    • @boringNW
      @boringNW Před 3 lety +19

      You're right it should be much more expensive, but the prices have been kept artificially low. This is done by the number of paper ounces being traded on the marketplace being 500-1000x greater than the actual amount of physical silver.
      What's going on now is similar to a bank run, people are going to collect the actual physical which will restrict their ability to trade massive amounts of paper, and the real price will go up.

      There’s no reason Silver should be less than $1000 per ounce right now.

    Very educational, financial freedom & thanks for sharing. I've seen other similar videos but its always good to get a refresher on such a complex and labor intensive process. Just the labor and fuel alone that goes into processing silver suggest that it's likely no less than at least fairly valued.

      I think flipping pet rocks would have a pretty small profit margin.
      Silver that I have flipped has had from 25%-300% ROI. That's decent I should've put that money into a savings account like my finance class taught me to do and earn a whopping .01%.

All that crushing, all that melting all that cleaning and separating Only to get a rough form of silver that still needs to be refined to then be made into bars, coins or sold to industry. Why the hell is silver so cheap. Seems to me it it should be as expensive as Gold Or even more so since there’s so many more uses.

      They used cupelation, that is the process in the furnace, SIlver is acompanied with lead, so high temperature burnes all other metals and in porous cup (cupel) leaves quite pure silver, I measured my cupeled silver, it was 99,7 % pure, obtained from various silver scrap. This process was used even in middle ages. Now is used chemical and electrolytic purification. But fire assay is still used as analythical method.
