So much better than the screw in thred inserts I was going for first. I can still use those on flat surfaces to attach things, but they are kind of not supposed to be used in plastic (already cracked some when testing it out, need to drill just shy of the full od)
@@everythingtenere They just won't hold unless epoxied in. Then questionable. It's looking really good. Certainly strong. That's an easy pattern to duplicate. This very much may be the easy part. Fitting the lights and other items, then mounting it and what doesn't seem to be in the way now ,ay or may not be. Good fortune.
@@samhill3496 i have found steel inserts witch should be a lot stronger, will get some today. High beam is mounted, rock solid, but they use M8 bolt, won’t budge (check instagram)
Looking great Marcus! I am glad you are feeling better. One question about the top part: could it be hazardous in case of the usual 'over the bar' crash? Or will your CARPE be taller than the 'spear' top you have at the moment?

No worries, I will trace it all out on paper, scan and email. Then if someone wants to buy a tower without lights, I can sell that. You don’t need to pay for the drawings, but if you like just use the donate button on my channel 😅. When it’s done, and I have fine tuned it all, I will make a video about that as well.

I have been thinking about a rally tower for a while but If I had a starting point on the dimensions I would for sure start to plan it immediately it because you're saving us a lot time, and giving me ideas that I hadn't considered yet! What do you mean? In a perfect world, I would have drilled the spacers first, then used them as a template when drilling the tower sides. Be a drill press would be even better. But if spacers are drilled in a press, then the hole should be straight. But you do it the way you can, as I don’t have all the tools 🤣
