thank you to everyone who alerted me to the facts that La Cañada is an area in LA! I am Canadian and therefore know nothing about american geography
That's even more funny to me tbh, I love to think that Miley called it "Canada" instead of "Cañada" for far too long
Rhett and Link as well as Terry Crews live in La Cañada too (or at least did when I lived there) and Miley went to a church down the street in an even smaller âtownâ I guess you could call it called Montrose!
@@jackrussel999 la canada cracks me up
writing a memoir at 15 is so unhinged it's genuinely admirable and I'm obsessed with it. child girlboss energy
i know i want that energy tbh

Me being shocked as a child when I found out Miley Cyrus's mom wasn't actually dead. The separation between character and actress was simply not there for me.
Wait, Miley's mom is not the girl from the movie "Blue Lagoon"? đ€
I seriously had no idea her mom was even alive until I was watching some family game they did on a late night TV show (they all blend together) when I was in like 7th grade. 6 years after the show ended. The things you accept as fact in your can't separate fiction and reality stage can stay with you for life
i have to give props to that book title. "miles to go" is kind of brilliant for a memoir written at age 15
truly a good pun
Itâs also a line in the chorus of her song Full Circle :)
Okay my claim to fame is that my cousin went to middle school with Miley Cyrus, so I can indeed confirm that Miley *was* bullied in middle school for having a famous dad. Iâm so glad I can provide this insight for all curious girlbosses
Thank you fellow girlboss
Omg thank you
Why would that be a reason for bullying, though? Surely, if anything, that would be a reason for her to be popular? Unless she was up her own ass about it and got bullied because of that...
@@PedroBenolielBonito i think it was mostly bc he was a one hit wonder
@@PedroBenolielBonito kids are weird man. a girl i knew got picked on because she was pretty and we were all jealous of her hair. its awful but thats the way it worked sometimes

STOP
ME TOOOđđđđ
ME TOO AHAHA
Yep, seconded (thirded, fourthed, whatever)...except I just checked when I came out and I was 17 so I should've known better ...
Sameeee
honestly, miley has evolved so much, that i would absolutely DIE FOR a memoir written by her now đ
same dude her life is wild i wanna read that so bad
Miles Ahead, LET'S GO
But with the same seven things list of course.
we need a documentary about her life so bad!!
@@soaribb32 mileys ahead
i have ONE good thing to say about this book i didn't read: as a teen, i had a friend who treated periods as the worst taboo, until she read this book and was like "oh ok. this happen to everyone" and started acting like a normal person about it. thank you, miley's ghost writer
thatâs the funniest thing iâve read today « she started acting like a normal person » lmao. thank u so much girlboss for the laugh
I peaked at 15, missed my window to write a bestselling memoir
i should have written one tbh
I'm 16 but I guess that's basically what my diary is
I know Miley said in an interview a year or two ago that it was fucking absurd that she had released an autobiography at the age of fifteen đ
hahahahaa i love that
when I was 10, this book was my Bible. Miley said "I never leave my house without at least 5 bracelets" and I begged my mom to give me her old braelets so I could be a child star too
Classic
Okay but the way 15 year-old Mileyâs memoir was so much better than 28 year-old Lea Michelleâs đ¶âđ«ïž (this coming from someone whoâs read both of them)
hahaha
TEA
i canât get over the fact that âintroducing mammie to laura bushâ was part of mileyâs most memorable day
i cant even....
Thank you for unlocking the memories of the âšdiabetes survivorâš era. I remember seeing commercials of him like sitting with his mom talking about how he has to be on a special diet and I thought it was just a fever dream that I invented because I liked joe better đ
I used to have this book when I was a teen. I was OBSESSED with Miley and I genuinely remember thinking it was a masterpiece đ
hahahahaha i love this
man i definitely remember learning that Miley and Lily didn't really like each other. Niley was my first ship ever tbh and the fact they got back together while Easter Egg hunting at the White House sounds like the craziest fanfiction prompt
I remember crying multiple times as a child after finding out Nick Jonas had diabetes because they made it seem so dramatic and I thought he was going to die soon đ
i thought it was TERMINAL
writing a memoir at 15 is like mounting a retrospective of your art career at 20. A think I've seen. A real thing. That has ocurred.
NO YOU DID NOT!!
I was OBSESSED with Miley Cyrus as a kid. Like I was Hannah Montana three years in a row for Halloween and youâre telling me Iâm TODAY YEARS OLD finding out she wrote a book??! I needed this synopsis like yesterday đźâđšđđœ
yess i love helping out the hannah montana girlies
how can you be obsessed with someone and not know they wrote a book lol
@@MJ-hz6gh maybe because they were a child when it was published?

The Chicago song has had a permanent place in my head since like age 15 ( Iâm 27 now ), basically a core memory at this point, and I feel so seen haha
literally a core memory for all of us
Yes!!! Anytime someone says Chicago my sister and I automatically start singing! It's annoying but it happens every time đ
Quick clarification corner! La Cañada (pronounced ken-YAH-dah) is actually a city about 30 minutes outside of LA. It's a lot closer to Pasadena, CA. Likewise, the border of Pasadena and La Cañada is where JPL is- basically NASA's laboratory and west coast field center. It is a gorgeous place- lots of mountains and canyons! Definitely a more affluent area though, so take "smallest house we could find" with a grain of salt :)
Thank you for posting this! I paused the video at that part and furiously scrolled through the comments hoping that someone else noticed this
La Cañada is the most beautiful place you can live in LA County and also one of the most expensive. I used to go hiking there, and when I checked housing prices because I loved the area so much I couldn't believe it cost more than Pasadena.
i also grew up as a child actor and pasadena is where a ton of auditions happened (at least when i was younger) so it made sense for them to live there i guess lol
sorry but when I was 15 I NEEDED this book.
Also this video is one of your funniest ones yet. "Diabetes survivor Nick Jonas" has me DEAD.
7:40 The mom was probably like a lunch/recess/cafeteria supervisor or something. All the ones I knew growing up had kids that were also went to the same school they worked at. And lunch supervisors are either the meanest people you've ever met or the coolest-there is simply no in-between.
man to this day i get LITERAL chills whenever i hear the first chords of 7 things. i love it just a normal amount

uncarley is here to give us the best content we could ever ask for. Miley Cyrus has become a worldwide sensation now, but we cannot move past her humble beginnings. Iâm certain Miley has the potential to write more books now that sheâs grown up.
i want her to write a memoir now! i feel like she's experienced so much and has a good perspective! i would read
Yessss I agree
this has brought back SO many memories, i remember at the back of the book, there was a list of 100 things she wanted to do before she died and it was so unhinged?? it was shit like 'read the whole bible' and it sends me
only carley could make me abandon my work and get invested in a child's memoir i'll never read đ€
omg my legacy
I am sooo fucking convinced that Billy Cyrus wrote this bookđ
This is a hill I will die on
one of my favorite lists in the book is the one that says something like â5 places in the world iâd like to visitâ and it was like
1. Paris
2. Italy
3. Japan
4. North Carolina
5. Germany
I want Miley to write a memoir now but I want it written and marketed as a sequel to this one and I think the reasons for that to be self explanatory
I absolutely loved this book when it came out and I COMPLETELY forgot it existed.
every now and then i remember theres a bit in the book where she says that she would never smoke but then (obvs) that didnt turn out lol
hahahaha
As a 12yo who already listened to her parents' music I was totally the target for miley's memoir and billy ray's famous friends stories
And oc I loved it
distinctly remember reading this book on vacation in canada and being absolutely beside myself over mileyâs hole in her heart
The idea of Miley Cyrus method acting Hannah Montana had me cackling. The idea of it kills me
âAt least once a week one of my friends will be like this funny thing happened to me in middle school, and then will describe one of the most horrific cases of bullying Iâve ever heardâ IM WHEEZING ITS SO TRUE
Kinda sad you glossed over the part where she talks about the YT videos she had made with her friend back in the day in an attempt to destroy Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato all because Selena had started dating Nick after they broke up. Honestly the 00s were such a wild time to be alive.
omg i VIVIDLY remember that I bought this book on boxing day when i was like 11 years old with money i got for christmas and i read it in one sitting wearing my fucking victoriaâs secret pink sweat suit
a vibe
The Emily Osment part was most entertaining, I can imagine the eye rolls
I have inside information that does support the fact that Miley really did method act⊠I knew a choreographer who worked with her all day as Miley and then he went backstage while she was Hannah and she pretended she had no clue who he was đ
the way i read this repeatedly as the age of 10 and it was groundbreakinggg to me
i needed a reason to procrastinate some more, bestie always got my back thank YOU
im always happy to help a sister procrastinate
I love this book. Still in my library and it's definitely my most precious treasure đȘ

If Miley wrote a memoir now I'd be here for it all day
She can finally write the specific cuss words that were said to her in middle school
There was a period in my childhood where I just re-read this book for months. I was obsessed
i was locked in the janitor's locker for hours too đ„° and now i AM a disney star đ
(honestly, thank god my grandma worked at the cafeteria, because she was the only one who noticed i disappeared lol)
Holy shit thatâs awful Iâm glad she found you though đ
I have this book on my shelves and I SO VAGUELY remember reading it but at the time when I bought it I thought it was the height of literature đ
omg wild!
I wonder how Miley feels about this book now, I'd love to hear her talk about it, she'd probably rip it to shreds lol
In her Joe Rogan interview, he asks her if she has any regrets and age says âprobably writing a biography at 15â

it's like exposing your diary to the whole world
I feel so bad for cackling during the "Nick has diabetes" announcement but I wasn't at all prepared for the dramatic black-and-white filter.
stop this is literally the first book i ever remember reading (i was 6 and a huge hannah montana fan)
honestly at this point im just embarassing myself online after this and admitting that lea michelles book was my favorite on your other video
Our girlboss being consistent is all I needed đđ
hahahaa
I enjoyed this way too much omg pls read celeb memoirs from when they were youngerrrr lmao
omg yesss
i think abt this book at least once a week. so thank you for your video and making my obsession almost legit
i genuinely want you to know that when you showed the written list graphic it *actually* unlocked a memory wedged so deep in my brain folds that i hadnt remembered until now, i had one of the hannah montana books as a kid, i enjoyed it a lot, and on the page with the purple paper flap that unfolded and had a guitar pick included- mine didnt come with one, and i was always so sad about it đđ€Ł (i would love to play guitar with it now lol!) maybe someone yoinked it, but nonetheless thank you for this neat video lol â€
i used to be a big miley cyrus fan so i have this book and i did read it not long after it came out. i barely remember anything from it though so watching this was fun. especially the whole nick diabetes thing because i remember how they made such a big deal out of it too đ
What i got from this video is that Miley's memoir at 15 is still better than Leah Michelle's đ€Ł
no cause I was OBSESSED with this book when I was 10. I lost count of how many times I reread it
i love that
my favourite book when I was 11 I felt like she was speaking directly to me and I told everyone who would listen to me about Mileys entire life as if anyone cared that she had cystic acne
âTrue love waitsâ - my purity ring in 2011.
What a time.
OMg
i remember reading this! there have been details of it stuck in my brain forever and they simply won't leave.like a scene where she describes how intense her cheer coach was, and how she was practicing so much, on the sidewalk also for some reason. and yeah the part where she's like there was this girl I vibed with at auditions for lily but she didn't get it, and me and emily were not really friends, that was the first time i realized that actor aren't exactly like their characters (shock and awe, gasp) i was like oh you can work with someone every day and still not be besties? huh. i feel like some people still have trouble with that concept, but Miley taught it to me at the age of 12 or however old i was when i read it lmao. but i did like that as they grew up, they became less intense and had a good working relationship. and i remember her also being besties with one of her dancers. these facts are never leaving my brain. but everything else you said, completely forgot about it lmao
Just popped in to say - this book was sold at a book fair in primary school and I remember it being great to just learn a bit more about the person I idolised that was behind the character I adored. I didnt really care if it was good/silly!
ive noticed that disney like to create a weird rivalry between the two girls who are supposed to be best friends in their shows. itâs really weird and then the studio shows blatant favoritism towards one of the actresses which is super messed up
as an avid miley fan for YEARS, this video is a treat đ
OMG I WAS OBSESSED W THIS BOOK AS A KID i haven't watched this video yet but i hope you talk about the hilarious advice from her grandpa bc i've tried to find it online and couldn't

This is SO FUNNY!! Love you Carley!
yesss 7 Things and GNO are SUCH bops. My takeaway is Iâm just gonna be listening to Hannah Montana/early Miley songs for the next while. God bless the work youâre doing.
This was so good!! I love these videos!đ good content start to finish whereas I normally fast forward on so many CZcams videos lol
Also, I really think Mileyâs best song during Hannah Montana days was party in the USA. I still rock to that song a decade laterđ
I remember this book! I was a huge Miley Cyrus fan when I was ten so I got this book for my birthday. It was my absolute favourite book at the time, I think I re-read it about 5 times.
i had this when i was 9 and was so obsessed lmao i probably read it like 10 times for some reason
I read this book when i was a kid and literally loved it. Looking back it was suchh a joke of a memoir. Was fun laughing through this video and remembering the silliness
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE PURITY RING DISNEY CULT OF BEING A âPUREâ TEENAGER demi spoke about it on the call her daddy podcast and as Iâm English Iâd never ever heard about it or even remembered it ⊠but I do remember reading an article about nick jonas finally taking it off when he started to pursue his solo music career !
I remember Miley loving vintage celebrities kids her age don't know about was one of her quirks. Even on the Hannah Montana show. It's funny how that's part of this book too. Fun fact her first boyfriend was a Willie Nelson doll when she was 2 years old...
Omg that SHIRT I love !!

god this is beautiful, iâm so happy this book exists and i need to buy it now
her memoir was my favorite book as a kid i read it so much the front cover fell off like this was my bible
I hope you donât tear this book apart in this video because I sooo vividly remember reading this and lovinggg it so much that I never returned it to my friendâs sister (who I borrowed it from)

I was waiting for this review.
I remember nothing from this book, but I did read it in middle school on a family road trip to like Georgia or somewhere I don't recall, but I think that's the only way to truly experience this book.
I was waiting for this... I was OBSESSED with this as a child and I commonly see my rating on Goodreads. I needed somebody to justify that I wasn't the only one who read it. đ
