Tell your husband those girls nearly froze to death bc A trapped them in a walk-in freezer and turned the temp all the way down, Caleb nearly burned/hyperthermia'd to death in a walk-in kiln and Hanna was drugged and had a teeny tiny note surgically placed in her tooth to warn her from digging for more info. That show was nightmarish for those girls!

@@gauravr7216 They all have multiple secrets for sure, but if I remember correctly (and I hope I don't because this is so cursed lol) the shoplifting thing is only brought up like once and the weight thing is brought up like a thousand times, so I kind of thought the weight thing was the main thing A is trying to blackmail her with from Ally's perspective when they didn't know if she was really dead or not. I mean, I wish it wasn't the main thing for Hannah, I just kind of get the vibe that Marlene intended the weight thing to be the main thing because of how much she brought it up over and over

The thing about the Perfectionists is that it wasn't MEANT to be a PLL Spinoff. Just like PLL, The Perfectionists was originally a book series written by Sara Shepard, and unlike the TV show, the books actually have NOTHING to do with the Pretty Little Liars world. Like, I think one of the main characters makes a cameo in book 14 of PLL, but that's about it. The premise of the books was basically "John Tucker must die" but with murder. Five teenaged girls all hate this Chad-type douche called Nolan Hotchkiss, who have wronged all of the girls in the past, and then they all jokingly plot about how they would kill him if they could during class, and then he actually dies the way they joked about, so now they have to find out who ACTUALLY did it to clear their names. A very straightforward teen mystery, without any of this hacker, sci-fi stuff.
This sounds like such a good show on its own, i wish they just left pll in the past and start again with a new cast and stuff!

Seriously. Ali should have been A with season four being the final season. I pictured the final episode would be two parts. The first part would be where Ali is "Explaining" the situation like she does in the finale. But, escape from ny would serve as the final episode where they find out ali was lying and was a all along. And Aria is involved somehow.

Pretty Little Liars seems to be a hit and a miss show. The books that the whole show is based on arenât the greatest, but still, it still kept readers hooked, resulting in its massive popularity. All the characters are pretty iconic, nevertheless.

Yes, the books, despite being not the best, definitely crafted a better mystery than the show. I wish Marlene King had just stuck to the plot of the books instead of trying to outsmart the fans.
I was confused about the whole Allison's brother got killed thing so I looked up Jason and it said his ex is Charlotte DiLaurentis and that just made me remember how I suppressed that whole plot line

I'm loving PLL Original Sin. I'm kinda glad they took a different vibe to the original because for me, however much I loved the original, it was definitely about 2 seasons too long and the writing got worse and worse towards the end. And I never got over the sabotaging of Alison's personality.

The reason I loved PLL was because it was insane and had no rules. Like really meant to believe girls with long hair and heels running in the woods would cause no evidence.
I'm not gonna lie, I still watch PLL all the time, it's my comfort show. And I actually did enjoy The Perfectionists, I think the second season could have had a great plot?

I absolutely love the reboot. Itâs mainly because I love horror television and themes. The campy-ness of OG PLL is definitely good but I love the newer version a bit more. I couldnât get past the first episode of perfectionists. And I didnât really love the ravenswood series. I just moved to PA and Iâm legit so excited to reread the PLL book series.

It's always bothered me that they didn't just make The Perfectionists its own thing instead of connecting it to PLL. Like the books are a separate duology and the only thing they really share in common with PLL is having the same author.

The problem with the Perfectionists was that they made a story that had nothing to do with PLL all of a sudden about PLL. They shouldâve just kept it separate and more along with the books and maybe it wouldâve done better

PLLOS is much better than I had expected, I actually enjoy the plot so much and it gets better every episode for me. I really enjoy how they incorporated the moms more in the storyline and their dark backstory with Angela. In the original A targets the girls (originally) bc of Ali and in the reboot A targets them to get back at their moms. I recommend watching if you havenât already and I really hope it gets renewed for a season 2!
