Scoot better be shooting a thousand 3s a day
Agreed
FRFR 💯
He for sure is. He’s working hard bro.
@Matt-lu6so where have you heard about him specifically ?
He better be
Watched an interview with Cing-Kong. He’s looking forward to playing with Scoot, Sheadon and Ayton. 💙🙏🏻
imagine a brand new rookie ever saying anything different
The point is he didn’t mention Grant or Fernee
Wow....
@@livingthefight3539 most likely has read the Blazers are trying to trade Grant and Simons
They're probably trying to keep optimism with the fan base, that he's ready for the Trailblazers regular season, or he's going through some intensive summer regiment to be ready for the regular season
I wish Blazers would've drafted Bronny at 52 and held him ransom in the Grant trade for 2 firsts.
Bronny was only drafted because his dad...he largely did nothing his 1st. year to any justify even getting drafted. He's going to be in the G League for the next couple of years. It pays to have daddy get you in the league!
@kevinedwards2067 that's what I'm saying.
He didn't deserve to be drafted at 55, he certainly doesn't deserve it at 52, so it would be an even worse situation for the Lakers to keep Lebron happy and would've been the determining factor in giving Blazers the two firsts we want for Jerami.
How many points did Peyton Pritchard average outta college when he was drafted?@@kevinedwards2067
After sharpes issue last year they probably dont wanna risk him getting hurt in summer league
I wish the team opted to sign Ashton Hagans to either a one year minimum contract, or at least the first two-way contract over Justin Minaya. Ashton balled out for us last season, and absolutely is a beast when it comes to work ethic, effort and defense man. Love his heart and hustle so much.
Terquavion is the most intriguing person to me. I think he can definitely earn a two-way with us
Or maybe we do not want to get him hurt, not really worried about it
I would rather see Scoot play, at least half time. Get reps with the guys and start showing his presence.
Nah, pretty sure he got hurt in summer league last year. He don't need to be playing with them. Blazers need to be able focus on watching what Clingan can potentially do at an NBA level and how he can mesh with everyone
Scoot is probably too busy working out, playing NBA 2K, or whatever the hell 'entrepreneurship' entails. 🤷
I can think of NO reason that Scoot is not going to be there. I can also thimk of MANY reasons why he SHOULD be there.
You mentioned Deni and Jerami as starters at the forward position. Then, the backups you mentioned are Tis and Jabari. What about Toumani?
Oh yeah whoops lol him too
@LockedOnBlazers By the way, I love your insightful podcast and listen to it every day. If the Blazers were as good a team as your podcast, then they would be looking at a dynasty.
its a right of passage!
Are there any lottery picks from last year showing up in summer league? Probably not many.
LMAO wrong. Brandon Miller, picked ahead of scoot with an incredible rookie year already in the books, is on charlottes summer league roster, just to name one. Tons of good rookies and lotto picks go to summer league the summer after their first season. Really really good guys who get tons of nba minutes and proved themselves beyond a doubt, Jdub for OKC last summer, still are on the roster and play in the first game and depending on how they look play some, or all, of that game and then no more or also then all of them if they dont look as good as expected. Jdub was 2nd in ROTY, an NBA starter at a high level, and a lotto pick and was on the summer league roster and played in the first game until he was just destroying everyone and then was done (jabari smith was the 3rd pick in his draft and played multiple games in summer league last yr for the rockets as well. Cam whitemore won SL MVP last summer, had a very good rookie year and he is on the rockets roster this yr lol). Scoot was nowhere near these guys in his rookie year or in his progression or anything about his first year, and both of them were/are there. It is a joke for a healthy Scoot to not be in summer league this year, he has not played himself anywhere near being above that valuable learning experience and training opportunity. An equally as important, the coaches should be wanting to see and get data and eval on as many live ball reps with scoot, experimenting with as many player combos, lineups, and plays/styles, as possible
I don’t think Dame played his second year in summer league either not uncommon and no one is gonna care once season starts
Dame was the consensus rookie of the year lol come on…
@@LockedOnBlazers why make a big deal of summer league. No one will care in two weeks
Hmmm if only I had said it’s not a big deal several times in this episode
Definitely uncommon and especially for a player with a rocky rookie year. This is more uncommon than the total opposite lol
@LockedOnBlazers I'm not happy with it. If anything, the team should know we'd want to see if Scoot's improved at all since the season ended and if he can find some chemistry with Clingan.
I'll think about that for more than two weeks.
Scoot played two years for Ignite, and played summer league last year. He's been there done that playing against fringe NBA talent. He needs to be good against the best players in the NBA. Summer league is not going to help with that. Better to use the time working on his shooting form. If he becomes a good 3 point shooter that defenses have to respect, everything else will fall into place.
This is the most ive seen mike in chat!!!! Its a long summer.
Dam I'm trying to see the blazers win practice makes perfect leads
To champions
Don't let $ go to your head
But skills....
Scoot got hurt in the first game of the summer league last year. I think he is affeared of that happening again
Mike is active in the chat today
Slow work day lol
@LockedOnBlazers who is your dream trade for ant and or grant?
Draft picks
If Scoot feels like "he's too good" for summer league, then I'm really disappointed in him. He's not in any place to be cocky.
No lies detected
I don’t know if that’s the case. There could be a very logical reason he’s not in summer league.
Is it because he needs to train with Curry before Curry heads to Team USA?
Blazers are trying out like 10 new players in Summer League. I don't think Cronin's "rebuild like OKC" will meet it's goal. The Thunder spent 2 years in tank mode, while the Blazers are going into year 4 of tanking.
How is it 4 years we literally just traded dame last season
@@user-dj2yj2db5q We tanked to end the season before Sharpe. We tanked with Dame before Scoot. Two years of tanking with Dame.
@@jirikurto3859 how can you tank with dame? He wasn’t playing?
@@user-dj2yj2db5q He was on the roster taking up cap space.
Greg Oden fouled out at sl, and they get 10, if I recall
They used to call fouls on Oden for breathing.
@@jirikurto3859 10 is some heavy breathing
Im more bummed there is no tou tou
I feel that Matisse doesn’t give it %100 effort. Been a problem of his for his whole pro career.
Hard disagree. Matisse issues are about lack of skill not effort.
Or that yes! 😂🤣
@@LockedOnBlazersthe lack of skill gives the illusion of sandbagging.
No Toumani.
Is Scoot still recovering from surgery?
Shaedon?
PDX is Bubble rapping Scoot and Sharpe this year. I am disappointed.
I love bubble wrap.😊
Wemby isnt playing either 🤷♂️
Absolutely no comparison or anything at all to do with each other. Brandon Miller, picked ahead of scoot with an incredible rookie year already in the books, is on charlottes summer league roster 🤷♂
Yeah... Wemby is more than likely going to be named an all-star this season. For all we know, Scoot can still be a bust.
@@OhGeeGanksta youre crazy for thinking scoot will be a bust. He will have a way better season not being the 3rd string PG anymore. You can see how well he played after the all star break when brogdon was out injured
@@grapeape1965 Scoot is better the Miller
@@123Redinger I'm saying he can be. It depends on your definition on bust. A highly touted player like him will be considered a bust if his career averages are like 15-7. His play after the all star break still wasn't that great. He got some numbers, but was still wildly inefficient. Chauncey sat him several games even with all the injuries b/c of how bad he was.
My guess is that they wanted to give Clingan his time to shine. This is a Lose-Lose spot for Scoot. If he does great then he was supposed to and if he struggled it would be seen as a giant red flag.
It’s summer league lol
“Worried about Scoot looking good and meeting expectations” seems like a wild reason to keep him out of Summer League doesn’t it?
@@LockedOnBlazers I dunno. I don’t even follow summer league or care at this point. Scoot will be fine in the long run better than an injury in summer league
that is an awful guess and absolutely NOT what any team would do lol. Scoot would help Clingan look better on offense in the first place.
@@HasselDaHoff25 he wasnt replying to you genius, he was replying to the idiotic original comment you also replied to in your own comment
Not a big deal. 2nd year players that are starters don't do summer league games. You're making something out of nothing.
This is absolutely true except for the many that do.
@@LockedOnBlazers50% of the time it’s true every time.

I really feel like we’re being fooled when it comes to Scoot. I’m not in love with Scoot.
Okay. Give the 20 year old guy a year or two to change your mind...
Wah wah go root for lakers then
@@eltrain8694 He's not helping by not playing in summer league at age 20.
@@jirikurto3859 agreed
Scoot is only 20, he should be playing. Cronin is ass.
I don't think it's up to Cronin
