Tough stuff to talk about but has to be said I was abused when I was four five and it don’t remove much but bitch did it fuck me up growing up and still does sometimes but yes be have ti be brave for ourselves and each other !

I was also a victim of sexual abuse and after years of therapy I am now A SURVIVOR and not a victim anymore. I am so proud of you guys sharing because maybe just even 1 listener can come forward .
You guys have no idea how much I appreciated this episode. I was S abused when I was 5-7 years old by my step dad. I just decided to talk about it this year, I’m in my mid 20s . My mom is still with him, so much has happened and not trying to get into details but I’m copping and adjusting to this new life of mine. Took me a while to understand that I’m not responsible for anyones actions but mine. I’m ready to move forward with my life, Things like this need to get talked about. It’s not normal. And it’s really true , SPEAK UP. Staying quite will only mess your mental health up and the actions you think that might happen if you speak up will 90% not go as you think. Take care of yourself. You should be your own priority.

I love love love you all for bringing light to this subject. As one who has been abused by a “loved one” it’s really awesome knowing to let the ones who are being abused by anyone to speak up. I was scared cuz my abuser would say he’d kill me or hurt me. It’s actually fckd me up as an adult in my marriage. One time my husband was trying to be sexy and he started to like tug on my chonnies and you know the rest lol I was like in light sleep I literally JUMPED UP COULDNT BREATHE I started crying. In my mind I went back to the days I would wake up at 8yrs old to his hands in my chonnies. And when I spoke up my mom did nothing about it. So in my teen ages I hated my mom and rebelled. But again thank you for speaking on this topic !

I used to didn’t like Danny but now I’ve been watching his channel and I like him now he’s pretty cool I take it back 😎😊love how they speak about sensitive things ! That’s what our country needs. Mental health and traumas need to be spoken because sometimes people get so sick in the head because of their traumas and take it out on others and causes massacres.

Indeed when I got molested by my female cousin at 4 she was 8 or 10 I don't remember how old she was but I do remember she did force me to do things and she did things to me. At 8 or 9 my mom would finally asked me and I did tell her she never spoke about it again and she pretended like it never happen. I still feel like she failed me as a mother. I clearly remember telling my mom one time at 4 I didn't want her to stay and she said to me stop being rude ifc she can sleepover. As a mother now I would never ever make someone stay my child doesn't want to stay I wouldn't just go on with me life as nothing. As I see my daughter be a child I realize a part of me was taken away.
I appreciate you guys talking about things that can seem taboo to others. I’m sorry y’all went through what you went through, you guys were just kids.

A lot of the influcencers in the Latino community should talk about things like this.If I saw a video talking about assault/abuse it would've made me feel that I'm not alone and I would've talked about my abuse sooner. I'm still struggling with it today. Thank you for talking about your experiences I know it's always hard to talk about it. No matter how many years its been ❤️

I'm glad things like this are being talked about cause it's not talked about enough that it feels wrong if you do bring it up or something, I was also a victim I never got therapy after so hearing this did make me cry cause I wasn't able to tell my parents till a few years after it happened, it makes me sad for his wife & kids of what kind of person he really is to this day...

Following up on the subject, we always talk about the act of being rapped, stories, how it’s affects us etc., which is a very difficult subject, kudos to you and Graciela for being so vulnerable. What about we shinning some light of how we can report abuse? - as a victim, what can they do? Where they go? Who can they talk to? What’s the process? - as a mental health professional, this happens too often. We need to bring some light on what the process is of reporting so that children can speak up.

Sadly I did speak up about being raped at 14 & nothing happened to him. No punishment 😕 this happened 9 years ago & I'm still hurt. I saw him when almost 4 years ago & it was not good I had the worse panic attack & I was feeling sick. He had his gf & baby with him & I was in the doctor with my newborn (hubby's baby) I literally had to give my baby to my sister & I ran outside she had to go follow me bc she didn't know what was happened & I told her so ever since that day I've not once been in that doctor's office

I was still underage …safe to say my dad lost his shit when he found out and police got involved. I say all this because I will never forget how intrusive the questions were that the officers asked me . That interview experience traumatized me so much and I don’t know why.

I was molested when I was 4 to 9 almost everyday and I agree with Danny that I'm glad it happened when I was so young that I was able to block a lot of it from my memory. I feel like if it had happened now I wouldn't be able to take it and keep living with that. It sucks that we even have to think like this.
