People don't get we Apple users crave the simplicity of the user interface with the quality that harnesses of the phone. We don't want to be bombarded with features that either don't work well or are pointless and just there as a quantity.
Overall, specs are nothing, look at Apple using 1GB of Ram, while Samsung mostly uses 2-3GB Ram but yet lags. We want simplicity and user ability, so stop with the fan boys comments, your just jealous of Apple's success.

Android allows several shooting modes. Apple users don't give a crap. Apple adds two shooting modes. Apple users flip a table in excitement. Android has allowed third party keyboards for years. Apple users don't give a crap. Apple allows third part keyboards for iOS 8. Apple users act like it's revolutionary and new. Android adds way more advanced NFC. Apple users act like they don't exist. Apple "creates" airplay (NFC). Apple users call it "futuristic" and "amazing." Android releases a line of smartwatches. Apple users cover their eyes like children and act like they don't exist. Apple announces the horrible apple watch. Apple users get excited and believe that it's the first Smartwatch. I'm getting the feeling that apple is like North Korea. They isolate their people from the outside companies/countries and trick their users into thinking what they do is futuristic and amazing.
AirPlay doesn't use NFC. It uses Wi-Fi. AirDrop (iOS file transfer) doesn't use NFC either. Again: The iPhone 6 was introduced without a mention of NFC. It exists in the iPhone 6 so Apple Pay will work, that's it. If Apple does something undeniably good - like the retina display in 2010, it's branded as "useless" until the competition catches up and overtakes them, then it's "Apple phones are shit, they're screens are so low res". Lastly, Google released a smart watch OS, and a ton of companies made smart watches. Apple has been attacked since for also making a smart watch... but wasn't LG copying Samsung? Or Motorola copying Samsung? Why are hardware makers that use Android allowed to compete but when Apple enters the market people moan?

Listen, buddy. You do not understand how Apple works. They are never the first to introduce untested features. They are the ones that refine and execute. Their user experience is supreme, buttery smooth, and extremely well integrated across devices. If Apple releases a feature, you can be damn sure it is going to work, it is going to be useful, and it is going to well designed. I am tired of the stigma that Apple users are mindless sheep - the majority of them are young, from affluence, and educated. For a while I used an HTC One and Windows, but I switched to the iPhone 6 and a MacBook Pro 15" because I appreciate good design, a fluid UI, and the immense productivity and convenience of the ecosystem.
Apple is not for geeks (no negative connotation intended) who drool over open source and specs. It is for people who appreciate a superb consumer electronics product.

They gave the screen a 10/10 rating... any other phone on the market has a (basically) 720p screen and they say, "Meh. It's passable." iPhone gets upgraded to 720p and it is a perfect 10/10. That's ridiculous.
I'm sure the iPhone 6 is a wonderful phone, but the hypocrisy here is thick.

John Marco Oscillada The HTC One M8 has incredibly accurate color representation, and its screen is much higher PPI and resolution, and it deservedly got a 10 from The Verge. But I disagree that the iPhone 6 screen could be on the same pedestal as the One screen.

I still dislike big screens and will obviously not be upgrading my phone since I have the 5s, so it would be pointless. Even if I had the chance to upgrade I would want the iPhone 6 and not the plus. I don't care how durable cell phones are made I will still always keep them in cases with a glass screen protector so they remain brand new forever.

I think you and I both know this phone is reiterating nearly everything that Android phones already have achieved. Except for Apple Pay, which I really like.
However, they did revolutionise antenna line thickness, they're made it thicker than any other phone I've ever seen - very impressive.

***** HTC has much better signal strength than many competitors with plastic body.. HTC knows how to build phones in aluminum without losing signal strength. Apple doesn't. With iPhone 5 5s you get high radiation and low signal strength.

HTC couldn't build a phone if their lives depended on it. EVERY person I know who's owned a HTC had it collapse within 15months of receiving it. I've never seen one make it past the two year mark yet. Our two we tried were included in this.
Yes the 5s had issues thus the new antenna lines but the -5c was fine.

Two and a half days "heavy use"? Most people report around 3-4 hours of screen time. You also claimed only to get " 2 days of light usage " on the Note 4.
I think he is taking into account the excellent stand by times the iPhone offers which are definitely better than any Android flagship but the real time use for any phone outside the Droid Maxx is usually below 10 hours. On my iPhone 6, on one day for example, I was able to go from 100% battery with around 18 hours standby time and somewhere between 6-7 hours on screen time with medium heavy use. The key really is to dynamically change what you use on the phone, use location services only when necessary, change wireless settings on the go. If you need to recharge quickly within an hour and a bit, use an iPad charger. It fares much better than my Galaxy S4 which under similar conditions delivers much worse on screen time( under 4 hours) and drains faster while on standby. It's lucky I have 2 spare batteries or it would have been useless to me
MrArthas96 Seriously, the battery of androids and iPhones are most often just as good. Some androids have awful battery time and some easily beat iPhones but an average android phone has about the same battery life. I don't know how you got under 4 hours on a S4, i have a Nexus 5 which is well known for its bad battery and even i have more than 4hrs.

Norris Thomas Fragmentation is different devices using different hardware with un-even resolutions. Not two differently sized displays which can upscale.

Wish they had 32GB base model. I don't need 64GB but I can't survive off of 16GB. Never liked white phones, but the silver iPhone looks the best this time around. The antenna breaks on the gray and gold ones look tacky.

Jeremiah Bromell maybe with Apple you would pay the same price for 32GB and 64GB but the Note 3, LG G3, HTC One M8 to name a few all start at 32GB with SD card expandability from $199 and down. Even with 16GB base Android phones, most come with the ability to expand that further.
What I'm saying is, they should have swapped the 16GB for the 32GB for $199 and keep the 64GB at $299 ect...

That was an amazing review! In depth, focused and actually concluded by looking at the bigger picture.
Same exact phone with minor upgrades, still no widgets, still the same boring, static icons. Apple is playing the brand card, and soon their novelty will run thin. They are on the verge of a decline, Android is the new boss.

I don't know if they just don't want to admit that Android had a great idea and don't want to copy it, but having plain square icons on your desktop is so ancient, apple is the stubbornest company i know. They have this awesome device, they're just resilient in not wanting to change.

Dustin Castillo you don't have to slide down on android, you can place widgets on the lock screen. It doesn't even make sense to have it in the notification area, desktop is the most natural place for an interactive widget.

When the iOS 8 was in progress, I honestly thought you could add it to the ui but of course, apple would only make it for the notification center. I know people who like the notification center would enjoy it but what about the people who want widgets somewhere else besides the notification center?

Okay, my phone at the moment is a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I really enjoy it, however I am starting to get slightly fed up with it when it does things I dont want it to do. My friend received an iPhone 6 as an early birthday present and she let me use it to see what its like and I really enjoyed how it felt and ran. I've always complained how Apple isnt as good as Android but I had never really used an apple product but now I feel like I want one. Is it worth the upgrade?

Supernova I really suggest you get the upgrade. I was android for the longest time and even had a windows phone. Granted the new iPhone will come out this fall, the iPhone 6 is a great phone. I have had mine for pry a month now, and never had any iOS/Apple product before this one. Just decided to give it a shot and am glad. If I warn you on one thing, it's that the 6 does not have an amazing batter life. Granted it gets me through heavy use such as CZcams, FaceBook, NetFlix, it lasts all day and ends on about 15-20%. I heard the 6 plus has an amazing battery life.
Yoosuf Muneer Being a former Android user myself I hear and understand and actually agree with the user experience of lack there of. However, since I got my iPhone 6 I realized that the difference is that I don't need all the confusion of Android when my iPhone searches the web perfectly, talks to other phones perfectly (lol) and takes wonderful pictures. You do have to adjust to having iTunes on your computer but once you do it's fine. Also I have OneDrive on my laptop (non-Mac) and the OneDrive app on my i6 so when I think about needing a picture off my phone, I upload it to OneDrive, and log onto my laptop and grab it off there, easy. Same amount of steps as hooking up a cable, finding the folder, right clicking, opening computer file, pasting...I admit iCloud is kinda a mess to deal with but with apps such as OneDrive where you can get a TB of storage for cheap, why not? I can't speak for the iPad's because my i6 is the first Apple product I have owned, but I will for sure get the iPad mini whatever it is soon.
So both os have their faults, or complications if you will, but when you want to try something new, I say go for it and if you do not like it, then you can speak from experience, not hearsay.

One you are above the retina display pixel density it doesn't matter what's the screen resolution is because your eye can't make out the difference. The way to improve the display is the colour reproduction, viewing angles, contrast and responsiveness. exactly what Apple did here.

What's the chances that they started out with 320x480 and doubled it to 640x960 which just happened to be the magic number for their 3.5 inch display. Resolution is not the only thing that makes a display good...color, contrast, viewing angles, those are in my book more important that just resolution. Plus it still has 326 Pipi, and never have I thought the retina on an iphone to be unsharp, even after using 1080p android phones.

I have been able to pay using NFC with Google wallet for a couple years now on my Nexus 4 device. The problem is that not all retailers have the system in place to use this feature. I do agree this will become more mainstream because Apple has included the feature on their devices now. I don't understand why people are using Apple's progress as a benchmark for new technologies. They are behind the times right now.

Nice review! The main differences between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models are obliviously the screen size as the 6 is 4.7 inches and the 6 Plus is 5.5 inches. The only advantage this gives the 6 Plus is a higher pixel resolution. The other key advantage for the iPhone 6 Plus is the battery life as it has up to 24 hours of talk time while the 6 only has 14 hours.
Overall, the 6 and the 6 plus are pretty much the same in my opinion except for the $100 price difference so I would go for the iPhone 6.

How about the usefulness it gives to people who own a Mac? How about it might be just an easier interface to use? Sure not as complex and arguably capable as Android's but not everybody wants a detailed task management console on a phone to control how many cores of the processor each app uses. Does everybody really do heavy computing tasks on a phone that hardware like an 8 core processor or 3GB of RAM on this devices is so important? Certainly not for the majority; I use my phone as a communication device and leave the heavy computing stuff for my computer. Yes I do like Apple products, but it doesn't mean I worship them as some seem to do with their Android phones commenting on each freaking Apple video how their phones are better, nor it means that I buy every single thing they put on a shelf with an apple logo or own every single generation of devices. I have a 6 inch phone (Sony Xperia T2 Ultra) and couldn't control my laughter whenever the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 was said as 'big'. In fact, I even went back to portrait mode to look at the video title to make sure this wasn't the 6 Plus review. I even got a case on my phone. Even tho it fits in my pockets super easily. You do need a case for a so thin phone to get the best typing experience however, depending upon your hands.

My 3 year old Galaxy S3 is still a great phone and can take on iPhone 6.
it has a 4.8' screen and bezels are small making its height smaller then iPhone 6.Even though iPhone opens some apps a mili second earlier, to me my S3 is still fast and smooth enough,plus not to mention it is runs android , which is open system. There is a notification light, removeable battery , sd card and offer way more in areas iPhone 6 don't.
