    This is really weird. I practiced through all the breathing-related videos and when I got on a call to speak English after that, I literally had trouble breathing, like I had to pause every few seconds to take more breaths

      Hi Amir! I think that's a natural tendency; we revert back to how we have always spoken unless we start becoming more conscious and aware. If you have a call, I recommend doing breathing exercises right before it starts. If it's a virtual call, I would put a Post-it or note on my screen that says "breathe" to remind me to adjust when I'm talking. Beyond that, it takes patience. You've probably spoken English for a long time, so there are many patterns to unlearn
