Channing: Has no need for extra money, hated Ferguson, and has his own secrets he wants kept.
Shane: Mainly existed for Franky's story and wasn't really a bad kid. Plus he'd have no knowledge of the escape unless someone else is involved.
Jake: _Might_ be involved, but definitely isn't the person stalking Vera.
Turk: Too obvious, plus we know next-to-nothing about the guy.
Murphy: Probably the most likely suspect due to her grudge with Vera, but she's such a minor character that it'd be pretty underwhelming honestly.
Ferguson: I have no freakin' idea but I still think she's alive.
That's my two cents on theorizing. This show fucks with my head so much. lol

I agree. I definitely think Jake's in on it, but is also being set-up. The thing that confuses me the most is who would know about the leather gloves Joan uses to torture people? I think the last scene in the finale is going to be someone hiding under Vera's bed, since it keeps showing her looking every night.
Lefty, Franky probably knows about the gloves. Might've told Shane. And while you are right, it really annoys me that Shane only existed for Franky's benefit. Shane should have existed as a special part of Joan's story only. And on that note, judging from how elaborate an operation it is coming outta that shed (with the map and all) I think Shane might be out of the running now too. I'm leaning more towards that Jake is in on it. He was so desperate for Vera to pay that money. He's either going to get a cut of it, or he's secretly got more riding on this then it appears.
i thought Vera's stalker and blackmailer are different persons. but now that it leads to the shed, it seems like it's Channing working with Jake, with Jake doing the blackmailing for money, while Channing gone obsessed when the news of Ferguson escaping, and afraid that she would spill his secrets starts stalking Vera (?) to find out if she had a hand in the conspiracy of Ferguson's escape. still something does not feel right with Channing becoming that obsessed and basically ruining himself over this lol.

In some way I thought that jake had something to do with the blackmail because he kept pressuring vera to pay, but if that was true, he won't take the risk of standing close to vera and jackson when the photos were taken, he would stand away so he won't show on the pics. Also, it's someone who does that for money, which is make sense that he blackmailed vera in specific because she's the one who have much money, so yeah, it could be channing. I never think that it's the nurse, she's not that smart:0 she would never know about the burial in the first place! And for those who think that fletcher did it, just remember that he was the most who got hurt by ferguson, he lost his health because of her, so he would be very grateful for those who get rid of her, and also he was feeling guilty about jackson for cheating him with his wife and he wanted to make it up to him, so, it's not him as well.
Ok here is my theory. There are only two that I can think of that would make Vera scream like that and that would be the drug dealer or Joan. Cannot see Joan leaving stuff like that behind unless she wanted Vera to find it like that . Joan is a neat freak..That person that came in the shed was also tall that could give a little indication who to look for. (but of course everyone looks tall to me cause I am so dang short ;) )

I imagine they'll have to go halves (or thirds) to get the money - even then it is still a lot. Will be interesting to see how they amass it anyway. Though with that being said, Vera may not have been there to actually pay....

Yeah, logically there is no feasible way they could amass that much money in such a short amount of time. Surely the blackmailer would know that and wouldn't have set the bar so high. Heck, maybe these three stooges will have to blackmail Channing to get it. I'm sure he's loaded...lol.

No one knows yet if Joan is really dead, or if she is alive. I hope she is alive. What is so exciting about Channing, Murphy, Shane, or even Turk being the stalker? It wouldn't shock me if it was one of them. Why has it not yet been announced that Joan is dead? Yes we saw a body, but anything I have read just says something like 'is Ferguson really dead?' even after reports that episode 9 would reveal all. This outcome had better be a shocking surprise. There is no way any of us want to get built up for over a year just for nothing. I can say that one thing I know I am not going to be disappointed about is how the Rita/Marie/Kaz story is going to play out. I looking forward to that.
Technically the WW Twitter "confirmed" her death, but that could easily be a sham. I agree that none of the others would really be _that_ surprising, except maybe Murphy since we haven't seen her in so long. But she was such a minor character that it wouldn't really be worth the buildup.
I couldn't see it being Channing since he has no need for money and he hated Ferguson. Shane was mainly just there to progress Franky's story, and wasn't really all that bad to begin with. Turk seems too obvious so I'd rule him out as well. Personally, I'm dead set on it being Murphy but then Ferguson will end up showing up for a crazy twist season finale.
Prophetess of MeoW, You have Linda (Smiles) and Murphy mixed up. Linda is the blonde officer who appears quite frequently. Murphy is the officer who got fired after Bea's death because Vera blamed her and threw her under the bus. She's only in like 3 or 4 episodes total.
I think the fact that Murphy is in only 3/4 episodes is reason enough why it definitely shouldn't be her doing the blackmailing. Despite the limited screen time allocated to the Vera/Jake/Will storyline this season, it has clearly won the most attention. People are more interested and invested in this than the new characters, it seems. To have such a minor character be behind it all would be a let down I think...

At this stage, because every character under the sun - even peon characters like Murphy, Turk and Radcliffe - have become a suspect the only way they'll shock people is if it really is Joan (or Jake maybe). Personally I think it'll be some boring side character or cop out newbie character. But we'll see...

I am in the U.S. but I think she is really story dead, I think she has some psychotic follower that is doing all this, MAYBE its Joan's best friend from PCBH {Cynthia Leech), who helped Joan to kill and beat up people at Blackmoor. It could even be that guard Vera fired who helped the freak sometimes and was always outside smoking and Vera set her up to make her quit? Anyway my point is to think about it, Joan was smart and resourceful, do you really think she would waste her freedom now, (if alive) just to freak out Vera, while living off the land??? I think she would have gone to West Australia, Perth and start over, because remember if she is caught, she would go right back to prison again and that story was getting old anyway, so I doubt even the Wentworth story writers would want to put her back inside all over again.
That would be a very interesting take, and most people would never guess that. I like your idea.

Channing may have something to do with it after seeing ep11. Possibly Jake as well but if so there’s a third and $500k split 3 ways doesn’t seem like much. None of this will get answered this season I bet. Channing claiming he’s after Ferguson himself but shows up at Bea’s grave supposedly to catch Ferguson? He didn’t know they were going there to drop ransom unless he’s in on it and while Jake and will tackle Channing someone takes the “money” and gets in a vehicle that has gloves on like Ferguson. Whoever that is whether it’s Ferguson or not is the person texting Vera. Y’all screaming Ferguson is dead, think outside the box. That’s too easy and simple. No , she has no family , when she spoke to the phsychiatrist and he asked her you were speaking to someone who was it? She said "my father , but even he has deserted me" implying that she has no one in her life , and during that session aswell she said "i've never been in a relation ship" then he said "but you've been intimate" but then she opens up a topic about her father that i can't remember .

My theory is that it's Jake and somebody else needing money. He's going to try to kill Vera, but then she finally reveals to him that she's pregnant. It gives just enough time for Will to show up. And Jake the snake finally dies.
I think it’s maby someone we Havnt seen in a few seasons.. could it have been Maxine as Vera, will and jakes actions all played a part in why bea was killed.. if the freak was still alive I think she would be messing with Franky too and Bridgette would have mentioned somthing to Vera... was also thinkinking nurse Radcliffe is probably pregnant now with Jakes baby no way the producers showed us several sex scenes to never bring it up again maby she needs the money

I still say Fletch! He felt he was wronged by all of them in some way except Jake. He also knows the layout of Vera's house to stalk her. Also, he had PTSD from East Timor before he was hit by the van. Maybe he never went to be a Farmer and has been watching them for a while.

The _real_ suspect probably won't show up until the finale, unless there's an accomplice of course. My bet is on Murphy being the stalker, but then Joan shows up at the very end for a surprise twist.

it's already spilled in Tv week mag, that Vera gets attacked and Jake manages to save her in time. they then know the attacker's identity (the one in the shed presumably) but it does little to unravel the mystery surrounding Ferguson. so we only know in the Finale i think.

i have a feeling they just might in S7, if Jake doesn't go down for killing Nils Jesper. or maybe he takes the fall for them to prove his 'love' and Vera semi forgives him, not surprising since the new Vera is nonchalant about Ferguson buried alive, i don't really know her anymore. i am sure it would appeal to straight male fans who also root for Vera and Jake to be together, no doubt a HUGE part of the fandom demographic!
