This is probably useless to get help on a two-year-old video, but, there is no "Survival mode" in user content. Unless the mod has been changed?
I discontinued support on this after I found out free roam is available after you beat the first few missions, sorry.
It's alright, I just found a mod that allows me to do this.
It was not easy to find.
