As someone who never paid attention in her Earth and Space science class, can you pretty please explain why a planet going nova is surprising? A genuine question because I’m a moron.
@@ChloeStarz_ I am by no means an expert, but I think stars only go nova. This planet, which I’m not even sure you could call a planet anymore, probably made the game think that it turned into a star, thus going nova. I believe stars go supernova when they can’t withstand the pressure of their own gravity due to how dense their core has become, making the star implode. Now, their are stars that don’t go nova and collapse into neutron stars; neutron stars are extremely dense but generally stable. Some neutron stars, if they are unable to withstand the pressure of their own gravity, collapse into black holes. Hope this helps, also I suggest doing research so you can find better explanations if you’re really interested, as I’m sure I’m not totally accurate. It’s currently 3 AM and I’m rather sleep deprived, so sorry if I did a terrible job of explaining.
Basically something only goes Nova if it's super hot and large and stuff. Even some stars won't go supernova at the end of their lives because they're not massive enough. It's like saying that a planet achieved nuclear fusion at the centre
