When there is no competition. The quality goes way down. Nascar games took the biggest hit. If Topps made basketball cards as well. Then the card shops could all ban together. Not buy any Pannini products to sell. That would force them to do something different.

I remember buying a case of 2001 SP Authentic Golf with the chance to get the Tiger Woods auto Rc for around $400. Today you can't even buy a box of that for $400. The Topps Chrome Tennis probably would have done better, but the checklist was pretty bad and the auto checklist was even worse, just like T-Pott was saying. Coco was the hit of the product. The other issue is that the autos were few and far between and the hobby boxes often had little to no hits. I know I opened several myself and only got 1 auto. One box only had 1 numbered card. I thought the Lite boxes actually seemed to have better hit rates.

Wrong color or a miss print is costly. Quality control is missing in the companies and is counter productive. There are systems in place to find mistakes and this makes me believe they have to much trust in the printing company. I understand mistakes happen but you mitigate that through a good quality control process.

I hope you let that brother pick a mid tier auto in the store, spending that much and not getting an auto is heartbreaking when you expect it from the hobby box

I know you not obligated too but in the retrospect of retaining that customer, it would be a nice gesture to let him pick something out.. cause if I’m him I’m done with the hobby if I spend that much and get nothing

Id be hella pissed too if a celebrity came into my shop, bought a box of cards for $900 (plus tax prob brings it to $1k almost) and got skunked. Its bad enough us blue-collars are getting shafted as well, but cmon. Ridiculous

I am still surprised people buy hobby boxes. They are not worth it anymore. You can buy the card you want for cheaper. Gave up on hobby boxes 2 years ago especially with no autos of top qbs

People are buying prism to get one or two cards which would cost 10,000 or more

@chasejackson7248 the chances of hitting that is like the lottery except you pay more for it. You would have to get 10 hobby boxes in hope you get that card.

It is bad enough that very few can truly afford these products, then to have this happen really is unacceptable. I️n general, Panini is not a customer friendly company…there is an arrogance to the company intended or not.

Like tpot waa saying he wonders what's out there hidden maybe n waiting to be found n yea I always wonder that but also, and its a lil depressing to think about, but how bout the cards that got thrown out, burned in a house fire, or simply misplaced or stolen!! Lord would I lose my mind but on a better note I purchased the most pristine gem 1989 Score Barry Sanders Rc Raw that is and it took me so long to be confident enough in the condition to finally buy it plus it was so much lower im price then any others I've seen sold so very happy n will grade soon had to talk about that!!

  • @mjcollector1million358

Obviously Panini is wrong for not trying to rectify the issue, but why should Panini do anything. People won’t stop buying the product at these ridiculous prices. All the problems exist and their sales won’t change and keep increasing.

its not on average. There is no way that all these missing autos are in someone elses boxes. Its a crime they lied.

This is just 🤯🤯🤯 to me... Im not as educated as alot of people... Why dosnt anyone sue Panini??? Hear me out... The box says FIND ( not that u COULD FIND) it says FIND... FIND means that it will be there... FIND 2 AUTOGRAPHS!!! Yes it says in each box on average... So that means the averge u cud Find is 2... Which top me mean average means at least 2 ( the average) the not that u COULD find ( COULD being the word that would cover Panini a$$) but there is not could in there delivery) someone who has the means to hire a really good lawyer ( who can really explain the wording in the manner that i did) just might win the case... I really don't think Panini covered there a$$ on this one!!!

People are aware of this.. People still Rip/Break.. it’s their own fault. Panini doesn’t care about its customers.
Again, until people stop buying their product(s), they’re going to take advantage of the consumer.
I haven’t bought their brand in years, and I won’t.
