Quick Dessert Bites | Apricot Shortbread Bars

Try out these yummy Apricot Shortbread Bars With the sweet taste of apricot in every bite and the buttery crust was flavored just for you to ENJOY!! Episode 190
Baking or Casserole pan 9x12 0r 10x10 inches

3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups or 500ml apricot jam ( store bought )
1 1/4 cup unsalted butter ( cut into small cube )
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp real vanilla extract
1 tbsp rum extract
1 tbsp brown sugar
bake on 375F for 25 to 30 minute and ENJOY!!

I love how you quickly made the dough and pressed it into the pan without any extra drama-some of the recipes out there have way too many details when you have simply demonstrated the best way to do it. I added about 2 tbsp of lemon juice to apricot jam and stirred it in before spreading on base. Gave it that extra bit of tang I love. Trying this with mincemeat now.

my daughter and i used this recipe (w/out rum) twice now, one apricot and the second blueberry. they came out wonderful and we were asked to make more for an upcoming potluck for her office party.shes making three this time, adding a raspberry this time. thank you for your video! it helped out so much.

Yea a lot of people use vanilla extract as a replacement to rum extract in recipes, and this one already has vanilla extract. So you can just add a little more vanilla instead and it should be great.
