It’s truly complete insanity.
His passion for his point in fact seems to underscore the importance of a quality bun, and how an overlooked bun can ruin a meal.

I think there can be a take that the bun can make or break a sandwich/burger, as poor ones really take away from the overall experience. But! A fresh, tasty brioche ready to go for my burger? Yes. Absolutely. It enhances the experience for sure.
I was on the fence with it until he hated on breakfast sandwiches. Too far.

Well it's been real guys, sorry to hear the Podcast is coming to an end 🤣 I don't think Jesse thought this one through very much considering it is literally how he makes his living being critical of athletes and organizations.
He didn't say we can't criticize them. I felt it was more directed at the guys who will attack a players whole family on Twitter over a turnover.

I’m so happy that Jesse has all the time in the world to sit down with a fork and knife and eat the contents hot his sandwich or burger on a plate. I will continue to eat my sandwich/burger with the thing that makes it convenient to eat on the go, which was the whole point of the bread to begin with on said sandwich/burger

Jesse's take on going to the store is 100% correct and I'm so glad it's being said. But I would even go further and say that I've done a full 360 on brands. It used to be that having a certain well-known logo on a product inflated the price far beyond any increase in product quality. Now, I will not buy a product that is not made by a company I know, simply due to the sheer volume of cheap knockoffs that have been allowed to have legitimacy on sites like Amazon or some "less discerning" retailers.
You mean you did a 180. Doing a 360 means you'd end up facing the same direction.
Re bread: We absolutely cannot lump generic North American grocery store bread in the same category as fresh, homemade bread products. The non processed stuff is sooo good!

@@gilgalad6231 personally quality wise I just don't think so, while I do enjoy the prequels ( despite it's many many flaws) 2-3 movies were not good imo, only ROTS really carried the entire thing.

Bruh here in brazil we have “open sandwiches”, they’re burgers or sandwiches that are served on a plate. Usually they do have the bun but you could just not eat it. Usually eaten with fork and knife too.
Online versus store ordering really depends on the product in question & the brands involved. If I can order the exact same item from the exact same brand online & receive a better deal/sale, often the case, I will do that 100/100 times

Heavily agree with Steve’s last take. It will genuinely change your life for the better, not to make it sound easy, because it’s not that simple, life never is, but making those changes for yourself are a huge benefit for your mental health.
To Jesse: Sandwiches were invented to be a portable food. If you have to put the delicious on a plate and eat it with a knife and fork, it is no longer portable. I love and miss all you guys because I'm not on The Bad Place anymore; I hope to see you more on the Threads and/or Bluesky! To Adam: Sure, at 4 years old, it gets easier, but WAIT FOR PUBERTY. Then it's another 10 years of your kid challenging your every move. Everything you say is a hot take. Ive been on the "Dubas is gonna try everything so when it fails he still looks good" train since the moment he signed there. The Pens have new ownership who explicitly have stated "we didnt buy this to be bad". So he's gonna go out, get what should be a bunch of "big names" so that when the pens still suck he can go to the owners who arent that hockey savy and say "see, I tried! This group is just cooked", and they will agree with him and let him do what he actually wants

I actually think Adam has a big brain take on the dubas/pens scenario. Karlsson represents the ideal player for this gambit - he’s got all-time talent, but has been sucking for a few years. His form going in either direction is entirely believable and Dubas can pin a large part of the fortunes of the team on the outcome of that deal.
I don't think that is wrong - but it isn't remotely a hot take that Dubas is doing something extremely obvious and reasonable that every other GM would do. No GM is going all-in on a team as old and bad as the Penguins, and Dubas never said he was going to sell the entire farm to try and make a non-cup team a stanley cup team, there's just no hot take there whatsoever lol.
@@morris1345 agreed. Karlsson is smoke and mirrors, getting the reigning Norris winner makes it look like they’re trying to win now but he’s also a super useful bargaining chip if Dubas blows up the team and retains half of his salary for a stack of picks.

Having worked at McDonalds 20 years ago I can confirm that the plated option was, and is, a thing….but know that if you order it every person from the order taker to the person making it to the person handing it to you hates you to their very soul. ;)

Consume what makes you happy. Information, peppers, breadless food, parenthood, whatever. Try to make the best decisions you can. Try to be the best person you can. Try to enjoy life. I think Steve missed a pretty good argument regarding his goalie take in also mentioning that goalies, for the most part, are not consistent enough to warrant such a high contract. Goalies that can put up great numbers year after year are immensely rare these days. Seems to me like that should factor in a lot when assessing contract value. The unpredictability of goaltending is just too high for a team to commit that much money to one player.
@adam the Vileda deluxe... I LOVE that toilet brush... you can even save some extra money by setting it up as a recurring subscription. you should be changing out your brush every 4-6 months anyways because of it getting "used"... so why not save 5-10%?

A friend of mine had a tradition years ago of having a McDonald’s pounder once a year. That’s a quadruple quarter pounder. One year he was doing the Atkins diet. His annual pounder fit the diet so long as he ordered it without the bun. It was outrageously greasy.

As a huge star wars fan growing up, the original 3 and phantom menace being my favorites, the recent additions are borderline a joke to me. I went to see the force awakens in the theaters and I remember watching it and thinking, this is just a friggin remake of the original and none of these kids even realize it. When they killed Han Solo in arguably Harrison Ford's best part, I almost got up and left the theater. The applause at the end had me and my dad looking around like wtf is wrong with everyone you all just got sold out to a typical modern movie. I'm looking at these kids thinking none of you even realize who John Williams is and the impact he had it's such a shame the lack of charm these new movies have. I remain a star wars fan but I haven't even watched the last two after whatever the force awakens did.
