    • @jewelmarkess
      @jewelmarkess Před 6 lety +12

      Tam Tam - you have a point about many recent cases, but as far as airlines are concerned, white people were dragged off planes too. In some cases, it was their fault, but there were a few cases where it wasn't. There was a case when a woman was asked to leave a plane because her toddler said "bye bye plane" and waved to another plane from the window. The toddler was simply saying good bye to a departing plane, but the flight attendant got all nervous, demanded the mother sedates the child, but the mother refused. Then, there was this case: www.foxnews.com/travel/2017/11/16/woman-claims-american-airlines-ignored-safety-rules-forced-her-child-to-fly-on-her-lap.html In this case, their policy is to allow one car seat, but not two, so what exactly is a woman with two kids supposed to do?

So fearing what the hostess will decide to do is warranted.

So clearly they realized they screwed up big time. She sued them (rightfully so). I couldn’t find anything after that, but I’m guessing United was smart and settled. They literally gave away the seat of a paying (who was legally required to be in their own seat) to a standby passenger.

It arrived, no joke, in a polystyrene cup. When I questioned the stewardess she replied, without any hint of an apology, that the glasses had already been put away for landing. I was truly amazed and haven't flown with them since. In the case above I'm sure it was a deliberate decision for the sake of making money.
