Seems like you had great weather on your way out of Chennai and I really enjoyed watching this trip report!
If anything, I think it was the right decision to merge Vistara into Air India since the latter is a more iconic and larger brand among the masses. I'd even argue that it's the most iconic brand - from a historical perspective - in all of Asia. (It probably also has sentimental value for the Tatas.) As such, I think it's much better to 'improve' the perception of the current Air India brand by infusing it with Vistara, rather than to go the other way around and to 'dilute' the Vistara brand by bringing Air India into it.

Indeed, constantly sunny, manage to get a slight tan 🙂
That's a very good point you made. Vistara has a lot of expectation because of how they currently are but Air India has a lot to uphold over the next five years.
I admit before researching trips with-in India I had never heard of Vistara before and yet when I see an Air India 787 or 777 at London Heathrow it stands out.
So yes completely agree it already has a worldwide presence.
Either way exciting times, perhaps i'll pencil in to return in 5 years!

Nice review of Vistara! India is somewhere with a good variety of airlines given the recent boom in the airline market... I'm also interested to see how the changes take place at Air India during the rest of the 2020s!

It was such a joy to fly. Agreed it's going through a revolution. We also flew on Indigo where we discuss the airline industry in India.
Will you be adding India to a future list?

Hi! I am trying out many airlines in India this July and have no issues booking with Akasa Air with my foreign credit card. That's strange to hear that it doesn't work for you.

Indeed, it's a shame really. I tried a PC and a phone and 4 different credit cards and always had the same processing error.
      Either way enjoy what I couldn't 🙂

@@liftoffandtravel you should have tried booking through a third party website like kiwi or easemytrip, I am sure it would work. Or get the ticket from an airport ticket counter. The only concern I have with Akasa is they use the 737 Max family aircrafts!
