This is Jac’s Mom and I wanted to say thank you for listening to our sons story. His story is like so many others in our country. Over 100,000 people have died from Fentanyl poisoning and continue to die and our government has done next to nothing to alert the public of the dangers. We are living every parents worst nightmare and share with the world in the hopes that someone is listening.
It’s hard to get the whole story in a short time frame so I wanted to clarify a few things that weren’t in the video.
Jac’s ashes were found in a USPS warehouse in New York City close to 3 weeks after being lost. Jac always said he wanted to travel to New York. I can’t help but think his beautiful spirit had a hand in where he was found. His remains are safely at home.
In 2020 Oregon passed Measure110 which decriminalized the possession of small amounts of controlled substances such as heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine and includes fentanyl. Thus making it impossible for law enforcement to pursue a conviction in Jac’s death.

Jacforever29 You are correct; the loss of a child is the greatest pain to endure and I'm sorry you had to go through this twice - no parent should have to bear that, but sadly you have had to do exactly that. It's obvious you loved your son and it sounds like he knew that. I totally get the NYC connection :) and no, that wouldn't surprise me either.

Some of our stories include fathers. The thing is, fathers grieve differently and are less likely to wish to share their pain openly. A father not included in one of our stories doesn't mean the father wasn't present in the loved one's life.

@@broeheemed32 that is not correct at all! So many of the moms say my husband or their father so don’t assume they’re fatherless! The way society has made it with boys and men is “it’s not ok to show emotions” so fathers grieve in silence due to this taboo. Even us who had fathers walk out on us don’t even blame them for our addiction problems unless they’re the abusers towards us! If you go back and watch stories from the start of this page especially the ones from 8/9 months ago you will hear and see this.

1 Fentanyl pill can easily kill a person that has a low tolerance. For an active user, that uses an average of 1-2g a day can cut the pill in half and do 1 half per 2 hours. Which is actually a lot cuz the pills are tiny. If you saw it in person it'd surprise you they're literally smaller than Tylenol.

I still ended up abusing drugs. Thank you for sharing Jac's story. It's because of these stories that I no longer have any desire to EVER use again. @@darkwitch8648I had professor of psychiatry in med school. He grew up in horrible family and had worst childhood we can imagine. His father was violent drunk and alcoholic, who had beaten his children and wife almost every day. There wasn’t one day, when our professot wasn’t scared of going home from school. Many times his father threw family out of house in the middle of the night, even in snow, even of it was freezing. If their neighbours and other villagers didn’t let them sleep in their barns, they would freeze to death. Somehow, he was still an excellent student, who finished med school and became professor of psychiatry. Then, he was having class with us, listening to the alcoholics explaining him how their terrible parents and miserable childhood made them become alcoholics and do terrible things. In the end of ends, it’s not about parenting, but about genetics and about what we’ve done out of it.

We have to try to make kids understand, there is no such thing as a "safe" street drug. Even weed is being laced with fentanyl now. You really don't know what you're getting, it can literally kill you and the dealers only care about making money. They do not give a damn what happens to you. And it CAN happen to you. No parent raised, murders, addicts, rap#ist drug dealers, abusers, psychos, repeated offenders etc. We do our best, and as adults, a lot of them re-raised themselves. Once their out and on their own. As if they wasn't taught to be good ppl . And/or make good decisions. My heart goes out to any mother, sibling and family member. Whose been affected by fentanyl. What an incredible woman & mother you are. It’s not an easy thing to talk about something that is so undeniably tragic and heartbreaking but you do this in order to keep his legacy alive and to save another life at the same time. I’m proud of you for sharing Jac’s story, the more that can share (which is always unfortunate however) it is showing how truly devastating this fentanyl epidemic is! It’s so bad! 😖😭 my condolences to you.

Andrea, I could listen to you all day. What a wealth of insight you shared. Many things you spoke of got all of my attention. So much, I won't comment. But, thank you.
Not only do you have a mother's heart...shattered as it is but you're a BRAVEHEART. Being in the public eye exposes you to things that are more toxic than any drug. People's judgements and opinions. (10 a penny.) They go by such because they do not know the truth or the reality of the ordeal you and many others are facing through this epidemic. Many are just rancid dimwits or dead from the waist up. Never let their foul mouths affect you. Nor their shame and blame.
I hope in your quest to bring more awareness to others that more doors are opened to you.
    ❤❤❤

Last year in our county we had a 16 month old die from fentanyl poisoning because her parents and grandmother (!!) were all using and left it where she could get her hands on it. I pray that by sharing Jac’s story your heart will find just a bit of peace. 🙏🏻

Bless you sweet lady. You're doing exactly what Jac would want you to do. Kids are cruel. People are cruel. People will say incredibly cruel things, placing judgement on someone they know nothing about. It's just ignorance and I'm happy you have that in perspective. Fentanyl is a community problem. If every community would come together and talk about the consequences of making a simple mistake, we could make a difference. Kids don't grasp the risks of one tiny pill. They are not druggies. Percocet and xanax are easily available in every community.
