Part 2: • The Grand Alaskan Adve...
This is the third part of our trip from Central Florida to Prudhoe Bay Alaska.
This video takes place over 5 days because there was a lot more to see as we were finally in Alaska.
We did the trip on our used Suzuki V-strom 650 motorcycles. We had an arraignment of luggage, the main system was a Caribou luggage system with Pelican cases. We both also had Givi top chases for storing things like clothing and lighter weight items. We used a cheap Colman Carlsbad tent which held up fairly well overall.
Check back for the final video, part 4 to be posted soon.
    Thank you for watching!

This is great. I live in Homer. My brother and I were to ride to Ct this past summer. Covid put the kabosh on that.
We’ll try again in 2022. We do have a great time riding around Ak. Love the long daylight days.

Great trip and story. Can’t wait to see the rest. Can you touch on number of days, miles, average miles per day, fuel-lodging-food costs, repairs, how many times you camped-hoteled-friends/family? I took a trip with my wife and son after his HS graduation. 26 days from Tampa to Cali and back. Truck and two bikes. Trip of a lifetime. Not as far as Alaska. Now I am ready to do something again.
    Ride safe.

Compliments on your videos, Eric. Good footage, and I'm enjoying your narration also. I'm getting ready to do a cycle trip from Atlanta, out west. Haven't quite finalized my route and timetable, but I think, north to south through Idaho, Utah, and Arizona, for a visit with family in Arizona. I'm intrigued by Moab, Monument Valley, and all. So looking forward to that. So... lookin forward to your next video. Take care.

Just stumbled across this series and I'm loving it! Planning on selling my SV650 to fund a DL650. Could you do a video on the supplies that you took for the trip? Did you find you had enough baggage for all your kit? I noticed one whole saddlebag of yours was just full of camera gear which must have made it tricky.

I love how u documented this trip. I was just starting to type this and ask how you got the footage of the two of you riding from overhead when the video showed you retrieving the drone. I still wonder how that works. So you send it up in the air and ride and it just hovers catching video????? I guess I am just an old guy 50+ years old with no drone experience. Do you have anymore big trips planned?

Great trip...quite the adventure and NOTHING like doing it on a motorcycle! Noted the diversity shirts, don't forget diversity NEEDS to have some RESPONSIBILITY which is why there is a problem. No one that I know of wants anything less, but there has to be a commitment from everyone. You are young and probably college educated in a way that presents fantasy and not reality, just saying.
