FINALLY!! Oregon was amazing! A truly beautiful way to end and adventure I will never forget. Thank you for joining me on my adventure across America on Sam's Trans American Trial! I plan to post a couple more videos showing some of the gear I have been using. Van life: The goal is a Ford Transit extended, 10 KWH of batteries, and built by myself. It will house my fiancée and I.

Little bit of bike troubles, but I get it fixed up quickly enough and I'm on my way! Idaho was nice, a lot more farm roads, which meant I could pickup the pace a bit. I hope you enjoy my adventure!

I didn't think it could get better than Colorado, but Utah has taken the cake! I was and am completely enthralled with Utah's beauty! Only 2 states to go, Idaho and Oregon. Thanks for keeping up with me and my adventures! I will create some review videos in the near future talking about the gear I brought and used. Thanks for watching! Music credit for 13:30-16:00: Bensound.com

Finally Colorado! I am quite proud with how this video came out, Colorado was really a treat after so much flatness and heat from the previous states. I can see why so many people want to move here, it is truly breathtaking in so many ways. I hope you enjoy my journey, as I most certainly did! Thanks for watching! Thank you bensound.com for some of the music used.

A lot did not go to plan particularly on day 14. Even the GoPro was dead which is why the lack of riding footage. I didn't realize it turned itself on and drained the battery. Yes that was incredibly dumb of me not to check the oil more often. Theres just a lot going on, and a lot I need to do everyday. Checking the oil just slipped my mind since it has never burnt oil before.

These are my experiences on the TAT. Hope you like them! I complain quite a bit towards the end, it was a very hard day and I wanted to include that in the video. Some days on the TAT are much harder than others and that 97 degree heat was not helping the situation. Don't worry it will get better!

I tried to upload this video a couple different times now, turns out rural America does not have the fastest uploads speeds. North Carolina was not all that different from Virginia, once I got out more towards western NC it started to turn to more farms with a lot of beautiful valleys. I am continuing through GA and TN in the next video, stay tuned! Thanks for watching

Starting out the trip getting to the trail from the train station, which ended up taking about a whole day. My first experience wild camping alone, and my first 2 full days on the trail. I'm working on the video production side of things day by day. Trying things out and seeing how they look. More drone footage to come once I get out of all these trees. I plan to make 1 video for every state, o...

    Eric, your videos are terrific. Knowing what you know now, if you were to do it all over again, would you stick with the dual sport or go with an ADV for the longer road sections? I'm sure that dual sport was better for some of the rough trails.

    • @DaddyEric222
      @DaddyEric222 Před 8 měsíci

      Dual sport 100% you really aren’t on fast pavement often (60+). 250-300cc range would work perfect, I’d probably take a crf 300L if I went with a new bike for this trip. Definitely same luggage system too.

    Bravo guys par excellence Travelog ! From my V-Strom, these bad boys are Tip-Happy, unless you're 6'2" + 34" inseam. Which few are ! I'm 5'9" & 30 inseam, have already dropped her once. Came close half a dozen times ! So I'm adding adjustable lowering links & will slide the forks to match. Maybe 2" lower will be perfect !

    Suzuki V-Strom 650 - probably the best general multi purpose "middleweight" motorcycle that will ever be built. No unnecessary excessive high tech features so far yet on past to current versions of this bike. Understated looks and appearance, understated all round ability. And hugely customisable. Note to Suzuki - for next year's version, don't add anything new other than including the centre stand as standard (pun intended) on all V-Stroms. If it was good enough as standard equipment on the 1980s-1990s Honda CB600F, then it's definitely good enough to include it on the V-Strom 650.

      Thanks for the kind words! I’ve been living in a self converted cargo van for a year. It wasn’t the best lifestyle for me and my partner, so it was hard to record and be honest. But i’ve recorded a couple videos still of our last couple months. I hope to post those before the end of the year. Working to sell the campervan now so we can create a more stable life. And therefore create a lot more content!
