doing some Gran runs so I'd remember how to use him for the story mode when the Steam version comes out.
Some tips for playing Gran below:
1. Gran's skills' damage and effect are boosted by the class level he has at the time. However, after using any skill, the class level icon will start flickering for a few seconds before dropping back down to level 1. What this means is you can use multiple skills and gain the class level benefits as long as you do it within that window.
2. Each time you increase your class level with Gran, all of your skills' cooldown get reduced by 3 seconds. This means raising Gran's class level from 1-4 would cut off 9 seconds from all your cooldowns. Since Reginleiv has a cooldown of 14 seconds, this means you only need to wait 5~6 seconds before you can use it again as long as you raise your class level back to 4 after using it, which in turns makes using Reginleiv on every rotation and keeping yourself in a loop where you repeat that process of going from class level 1 to 4 the optimal way to reduce your skill cooldowns while you fight.
3. Gran's command list is misleading, most of his combo as long as you're not about to reach a finisher actually allow you to use △ instead of ☐ and still be considered a valid combo. For example, Gran's combo D is written as ☐☐☐☐△, however, ☐△☐☐△ and ☐☐△☐△ are actually both considered valid ways to input combo D. This means you can make use of the gap closer from the first part of combo A (☐△△) but instead of inputting the final △ finisher, go back into ☐ and turn it into a different combo.
