Refinishing an Antique Chest To Look Farmhouse Distressed!!

What seemed like a typical refinishing project or restoration project, by the end it turned out to be quite different due to having difficulty with paint and topcoat reacting negatively. Seeing as how I've never claimed to be a refinisher or a restorer, mainly just a woodworker, some of these issues I've never ran into before, but the owner and I think it turned out quite nice! The chest, we found out was made of mostly poplar with a bit of oak on the drawer sides. The drawers were dovetailed, definitely something you don't see today with factory furniture at least! We uncovered a date during the refinishing process, that told us this Antique piece of furniture was made in 1939! The owner requested that we refinish it to look farmhouse distressed!
